Okay, gonna quote something I just read from the Amazon forum:

"you can kill most of the minions running around and having wands on weapon switch to lifetap/lowerresist someone is great"

I also read last week a paladin wanting a wand with life tap... I am confused. I thought only Necromancer's could benefit from +necro only skills on wands (on everything else, too?)

There are wands with lifetap charges, that can be used by any class. Very usefull, theses. You can simply shop them, so the availability is quite high, too.

If you get a wand that says +X to Life Tap [Necromancer Only], then only Necros can use, but if you get one with Life Tap charges, then any char can use.

life tap charges are also available on daggers ;) I have a rare fanged knife with like 111 charges of level 5 life tap- makes a world of difference for my zealer on dclone, baal, ubers or anything else that normally takes awhile to kill

Tap smite smite smite smite = dead uber. Anyways, shop for them at anywhere you find convenent in hell. For example, Drognan is good for it if the town exit is near him.

Available curses for other classes, from affixes on magical/rare/crafted items:

* Wands and daggers (including throwing daggers) can have charges of Life Tap, Terror, Lower Resist, Weaken, Dim Vision, Confuse and Attract

* Shields (including Pally shields) can have charges of Terror

* Axes and throwing axes can have charges of Life Tap

* Circlets and rings can have charges of Attract, Confuse and Dim Vision

* Amulets can have charges of Attract

* Staves can have charges of Lower Resist

* Gloves can have charges of Weaken

No, they are in the same affix group.

Keep the other in stash/inventory, since they can´t be used simultaneously on the same monster anyway.
