Does character you're using affect mf?

I was just wondering if the character you're using affects drops while magic finding. For instance if I use a sorc to magic find will i find more drops that are sorc specific, for instance a shard, faster cast rate stuff, etc while if I use a barb will I find more mauls, weapons, etc? Just wondering.

nope. finding items is the same regardless of character/level. (though gambling/imbueing is based on level)

Correct and mf has nothing to do with gambling.
Just in case someone gets the impression other wise.

For a MF char, you want a char that can kill fast and can carry a lot of MF gear at the same time. That's why a lot of people choose a sorc as their MFer, not because a sorc's MF is better than anyone else's MF.
