"Add socket reward" question.

Hi

I'm a lvl 78 pala running around with the Guardian Angel armour, and I am thinking if adding a socket to it, with the "add socket" reward. Is that a smart thing to do? :) And what should I put in that socket? PGem or rune?

PLease give more details on your pally: is it a Zealot, avenger, hammerdin?
Then we can give you advice.
For an avenger, put some IAS or all resist
For a zealot (+fana) IAS is not mandatory, you can put FHR jewel or all resist or add elemental dmg or - target def%

I'm a zealot (+fana) :)

But I generally feel that I don't do as much damage as same-lvl pallies... my resistance is maxed though. -Target def% or elemental damage seem the choice here then.

I was mostly wondering if I should wait and find a nice scepter and then hopefully add a few sockets to that instead...?

I recommend holding your socket quest rewards for nice runewordable items. If you are on ladder they can get eaten up quick with Monarchs (Spirit), Pally Shields(Spirit/Exile), Dusks/Archons (Fortitude), and nice eth polearms for mercs!

Rember that if you do find that nice scepter and its unique, you will only get 1 socket. I only say this because you said "hopefully add a few sockets to that instead".
