View Full Version : Help! Life is draining away...

Hi,

this is my first post hete. I am currently playing a lvl 26 Paladin, and carrying no items that give a penalty of any sort, but my life is draining away steadily, 1 or 2 points every 2 seconds. Is there something i must have missed?

You're sure you don't have a malice runeword?

Malice: 3 Socket Melee Weapons Ith + El + Eth
+33% Enhanced Damage
+9 To Maximum Damage
100% Chance Of Open Wounds
-25% Target Defense
-100 To Monster Defense Per Hit
Prevent Monster Heal
+50 To Attack Rating
Drain Life -5

yikes, i do, it's a malice rune axe. Thought that it drains the life of creatures i hit, not my own..... :confused:

compensate malice with life leech items > 8%

Replenish life will work better than leech, as it works continuously and is not dependent on hitting monsters.

you got it mixed up with life leech which drains monsters' life; drain life drains the char's life slowly...

I do wonder, can drain life kill you like open wounds?

No, life drain itself cannot kill you.

Use sacrifice when you have 1 life left, or cast revives from charges (with your pally). Don't do it in HC.

Oh it has 100% OW not CB.
