After perusing the trade forums, it seems like whenever people put up low-mid level gear for trade, hardly anyone takes them up on it. Do people usually "liquidate" most of their loot for runes to trade with, or do they just try to find someone who wants what they have? I've found several things that have some value, and I'd like to somehow use them to get one or two things of <ahem> a bit greater value.

most ppl will trade their lower end type gear for pgems to either roll grand charms or such. this is they can try to roll something for more value. the more higher end gear will usually go for runes so then by saving up runes, they get get to the point of higher end runewords and such.

Or they trade for pgems, then use the pgems to trade for runes. It's seldom you can trade directly for what you need, most times it may take 3 trades or more for getting what you want.
