View Full Version : Best Boss-HighTC Killer?

If you factor in killing speed, teleporting speed, survivability, and versatility, which class do you think is the best for doing a Meph -> Chaos Sanctuary -> Diablo -> Worldstone Keep Level 2 & 3 -> Baal run? Only those areas/bosses!

Hammerdin to cover the area and tele, but a smiter with uber killing gear for speed against the boss.

I am one of the lucky guy with 2 computer and 2 cd-keys, so I run public game boss with my hammerdin to tele and clean area, then I tp to my smiter and kill boss fast. Static field for sorc is great but stop at around half boss life in hell. Crushing blow doesn't stop and of course having the hammerdin in the same room granting concentration aura to the smiter is always great.

Hammerdins are good in pvm because they have monsterly combination of unimmuneable damage + defense + life.

Painfully slow at killing bosses though even with 19k hammers.

Then what's this have to do with, and what forum should I post it in?

Everyone says hammerdin, eh? I would think a wind druid would have better survivability, and kill speed vs. bosses because of amp + each tornado can hit up to three times.

Wind druids can also run into cold+physical immunes (rarely, but it does happen).

WW barb with good resistance and one point in berserk for the Diablo level. Anyone with iron maiden or stone skin, switch to berserk and it'll be over very quickly.

Other than that, you will never need to go to town as you'll be leeching so damn much.

But if you want speed, lightning fury zon destroys.
Even against light immunes, if you have enough in pierce, they're screwed anyway.

Her only problem is light immune and stone skin at the same time.
But how many of those do you find?

ever tried killing baal with a summoner? u need pretty decked out one to do it quickly.. and ever heard of tg or whisp projector? :) or good resists for that matter.

Yeah I run Baal with him :D , just decrep first, have those Venom Lord revives, mae the Gumby slow him, then Amp him. At my place it usually doesnt take more than 2 mins to kill Baal.
But then I run Dia more than Baal, just like it more XD

What is it that makes summoners better than hammerdins against souls? My hammerdins always have 75% or even 90% in every resist, and paladins have more life than necromancers, period.

Besides, killing bosses with a hammerdin isn't slow if you have equipped your merc with decent gear.
