Hey all.

Well, since I recently got Windforce (which I regret because I paid much much more than it was worth, I found after) and I am going to make a bowazon. This zon will be strictly for PvP against any class (I know, it will stink against some but I plan to make it fun and strong). I know this is probably way over done, but I wanted to make sure this would work.

Here's the theory:
-Achieve highest possible damage
-Maintain distance from opponents and use multi/guided arrow to attack.

Skill Points:
-Guided (20)
-Multi (10)
-Critical Strike (20)
-Penetrate (20)
-Cold arrow (1, prereq)
-Magic arrow (1, prereq)
-D/E/A (remaining points as I level)

Stats:
Str: Enough for gear, I will use whistan's guard (or a high block shield, if anyone knows which shield has the highest block rate please tell me, in either case, it won't matter since I'm pumping dex)
Dex: All points
Vitality: Base (I plan not to get hit and to have max block, what do you think? Would it be better to go max block and then pump vitality?)
Energy: Base (okay.)

Gear:
-Shako (I'd like COA but I'm too poor)
-Shaftstop (I don't have anything else....too poor)
-Windforce (Shael'd, not done yet, I'm looking for suggestions)
-Highlord's Wrath
-Raven Frost
-Dual Leech + resist rare ring (dropped from pindle!!)
-Sandstorm Trek
-Vergundo's (maybe nosferatu?)
-2 bow skill, 20ias gloves (or shoudl i take a 20ias, + cold/light resist?)

So yeah, that's my bowazon build.
Please, all input is appreciated!!
--------------------------------------------
PvP Poison Javazon

This based off the guide in SC, my main question is based on GA and the bow.

Should I max GA? Should I put points in Multi?

And also, what bow should I use? I have:

-Goldstrike
-Skystrike
-Buriza
-6 socket crusader bow

So there, the guide says go for as much speed as possbile, I can't afford a demon machine but I was thinking 6 shael crusader? Will the damage be enough to kill them after the poison?

Here's my set up:

Skills:
-Poison Javelin (20)
-Plague Javelin (20)
-Guided (20?)
-Multi (10? 5?)
-Penetrate (Any at all!?!!)

-1 to all prereq. This build leaves me a lot, so I will pump D/E/A since I will be up close with my javelins.

Gear:
-Stormshield
-Titan's revenge
-Valkyrie winged helm (crap choice, but is tehre anything better? I'm not rich.)
-Duriel's shell (for resists, or woudl shaftstop be better?)
-String of ears (maybe nosferatu?)
-Waterwalk
-Don't have any rings for this char.....
-Atma's scarab (suggestions?, I have a +1 amazon skill, 40 life amulet)
-Trangoul's gloves (extra poison)

Stats:
Str: enough for gear
Dex: enough for max block
Vita: all
Energy: none.

So there, as the guide says, the idea is to throw poison clouds everywhere, drop opponent's hp to 1, and finish them with guided. Good in theory but....so was the ES sorc that miserably failed.

So there, all input, suggestions, criticisms, laughs, "NOOB" comments appreciated!

Thanks,

-masterazn

A quick look at damage on poison.

With torch + anni and 20 pts into each poison skill you end up with
14628-16062 poisonj
9950-10122 plaguej
Each jav skiller adds about 1k damage.
41 points used.

So you really don't need massive amounts of +skills since it has very little effect on bow skills.

I dont know how much you know about pvp bowazons but fast attack is essential. Faith/Fort combo is todays standard where you can achieve 7 fps attack with right gear. With Windforce best you can do is 8 fps attack for which you need total 150 ias I believe. With your set up I think you get like 11 or 12 fps attack which is way too slow. High damage inflicted as quickly as passible is what its all about.

Oh, and dont put 20 in penetrate, total waste, does nothing for guided, your main attack. Put those points in D/E/A to get them all to 55-60. Penetrate does help multi but these days you will kill nothing with multi except another zon here and there or a weak sorce.

Sounds interesting even though it sounds like it would be one of the hardest playing styles and you'd have to be sort of rich o.O Maybe i will expiriment however.

Don't really need to be that rich, the build seems simple enough.

faith gmb
fort armor
probably ber-ber coa, I'm not all too sure what zons use for helms and this seems to give the best of all worlds
war travs
crafted gloves
cats eye
bk rings/res-ar-damage rings
-switch-
titans
spirit monarch

Probably better items out there but meh, I don't know em.

...CoA str req is far to high. The best possible helm is 120/45 ias helm, but since 40/15 are ridicoulously expesinve, I'd just go for a 45 helm

Don't overdue it on ias though it your using faith

the crafted gloves essential would need 20ias/knockback/possibly skills
no need for spirit monarch, or any monrch for that matter. With the dex of a zon you could get max block with alot of things. I suggest sanctuary, or even a mosers for res since thats what you will be lacking. Some bowazons choose to use harmony for the vigor on switch. But in my opinion 75% max block and your d/e/a makes you exremely hard to hit. Personally for rings, my bowazons simply uses 2 raven....+200 ar, cannot be frozen, and +20 dex. They seme good enough +skills are poiontless really each skill in the bow tree give 5% enhanced damage

so with +20 skills your only doing +100% damage, not worth it IMO

For charms, use a few magic gcs if you need too, life sc's res sc's and of course fr/w scs.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but all those items listed are way beyond my budget. So yeah....COA? Never ever seen one. Faith? I'll never afford one. Fortitude? You're kidding.

A zon really can't compete without the ladder runewords. It's like making a barb and not being able to afford the good weapons.
