Best dmg dealing merc for me..

K I got choices to make between act 2 and act 5 mercs. Idk why anyone would choose an act 5 merc over a act 2 one. They have better fhr I suppose? They dont have damage dealing auras they attack slower...what else is there. Im just supposing act 5 mercs have better life and damage but what about when the might goes on. I have the descision of a weapon to get for em Im leaning towards for the act 5 a E death collosus blade and a 160/60 armor to get it to the 12 frame attack break. For the act 2 merc should I go with it I would use a Ebotd Great Poleaxe or a E doom cryptic axe. Basically im looking to get a real killer merc that I can use both Pvm and Pvp vs bmer's that use mercs with infinity, Lcmb, health pots. It needs to be fast enough to swipe things while im teleporting and tough enough to stay alive while im baaling.

Main things i need to know- difference between a lvl 89 barb mercs life and lvl 89 might merc's life, Fhr, resists. Also is the jab that a2 mercs use unninteruptible?

Act 2 mercs, it's no contest otherwise. Get a might one, give him a doom cryptic axe or Reaper's toll, and have fun.

The difference in stats in negligible, as the might merc is going to stay alive a lot better with Doom, and he'll be boosting both his own damage AND your damage. He also attacks 3 times per swing, since he uses Jab.

Even with the introduction of faith/ice runewords i never look at any mercs besides the act2 versions, regardless of what class i'm using. The combination of melee tanking + overpowered paladin auras just blow the rest away.
