Make a Frostmaiden. M'avina's is pretty much built for them.

Even for frostmaidens with good secondary equipment and lots of bow skill charms this set just doesn't cut it for solo multiplayer hell due to the horribly crappy damage and lack of combat mods on the set pieces.

Ive made one and it ownz hell I use strafe back up. Dont say they suck

The only thing bad in the set is that the bow needs be matricial and armor archon oh and the gloves gotta have 20 ias :lol: I thinks its a bit too much to ask.

I have made one too. I think most of us in this forum have. A mav set zon IS a slow killer. She can hold her own in solo games. Maybe even be a contributor in multi player games. But strafe with Mav's set is not the skill I would use in multi player games. I would use freezing arrow. For everything but cold immunes, a maxed FA build wearing Mav's set will own. Other players in the game will like you for your freezing abilities, but not for your strafe abilities.

lol strafe is back up for when your on your own its a slow way but anythin non ci is dead after one 2 shots in hell.

and in multiplayer (normally baal runz) its the endless waves of blizz sorcs,hammerdins and trappers doing everythin and everythins dead in a few seconds no need fire anythin.

oh and for your last post i thought u ment freezeing arrow my bad lol. Strafe sux with the bow

What have i been smoking? nothing

i made my own frostmaiden mavazon a while back and she started to crawl as soon as she hit act 2 hell with any more than a few enemies. I had a might merc, cat's eye, ravenfrosts, and war travs and skill charms as the rest of my equipment. The strafe damage SUCKED even with 300+ dex, maxed strafe and the might aura on me. I even took her into hell ancient tunnels in a 2-3 player game and she crawled even in there, not to mention the bow damage is absolutely pathetic for the huge mana draining of freezing arrow.

A bit too much to ask? The problem with all the class sets is that they are usually nothing more than a bunch of stats and resistances/skills piled on. This can work fine for a tal's sorc but for a frostmaiden she needs something more than the FA damage itself and the bow provides nothing except some moderate physical and magical damage, neither which significantly scratch enemies with tens of thousands of hitpoints, especially against cold immunes.

You also have NO choice but to eventually strafe with the bow, even against non cold immunes. Even with a might merc the bow just doesn't provide the mana leech needed to refill your orb when spamming FA.

You can definitely "complete" the game in one player hell with this set. Just don't expect a killing machine compared to an ice bow + unique/runeword alternative setup.

Of course it sux compared to a ice bow/rw/unique set up but with my zon anything not cold immune died quick but strafe sucked really bad so cold immunes kicked my ***. My remake used frozen arrow and immolation and went through quite quick although mana was a problem nothing suckin down a mana pot didnt solve and i actually found my zon haveing enough damage to kill anythin non CI in 5 player hell and it wasnt that slow.
