Uber Duriel question

I have a strafe Zon, Wrath bow equiped(level 88/80%CB/110%ias/10% slow/PMH) that I'm creating that tried out Uber Duriel yesterday and it worked pretty much as planned except for one thing. Duriels health plummets as I strafe him(10 seconds to bring him from full health to 1/8 health), but I can only get him to 1/8 health and he starts regenerating health and I can never kill him... I thought the PMH(prevent monster heal) would stop him from regenerating but... Any ideas ?

pmh doesn't work on the ubers...but open wounds does

How did you even manage to contain uber duriel? A level 20 valk dies in 2-3 hits from him and a level 90+ merc dies in 1-2 hits. Even with decrepify from wrath he should be able to steamroll you.

My valk is level 22 synergized with a level 22 decoy.
4048 life
525 percent dmg
+1680 ar
+210 def bonus

Once the decrip hits... my merc is pretty safe.

As you said, he steamrolls my merc. The merc's dead in 2 seconds.

Shhh quiet...everyone will find out Decripify rules bosses ;)

Actually the slow effect from different dmg types, ie) Decrip, Slow on weapons and cleglas, cold dmg, Holy freeze, etc do stack quite well.

Using all of those effects will completely shut down most if not all monsters..even the big 3..shhh don't tell..

Of course decrepify rules against bosses, but the boss (act boss so no knockback possible) will eventually reach you and bowazons aren't sturdy in melee combat :)

That's why Duriel, uber or regular, has to be the single most irritating critter an Amazon has to face in her career.

i would rather take on uber duriel over a regular duriel anyday....the terrain favors the bowazon taking on the uber....the tight quarters are a real pain when fighting regular duriel.....the only uber i haven't been able to drop with a bowazon is lilith.

Yeah, on some of the non-uber versions of the bosses they literally are slowed close to 90%. Hell Baal just does'nt move. Takes me about 10 seconds total to kill him in an 8 player game. Holy Freeze merc, decrip, 10% slow, cold charm,80%CB/100% ias(had to switch armor and boots).

Can't wait to try uber-tristam. It's ***** getting keys off of Nithilak(or whatever his name is) nowadays.

As you said, he steamrolls my merc. The merc's dead in 2 seconds.

Got my valk up ~4700 life now.... :-) Now I may bring in my level 93 barb to bo us!! :-) Before going after the Ubers.

BTW, The Wrath rune word bow with crushing blow stacked(from boots/helm/armor/bow itself) is by far the most lethal bow combination. This combo makes multi-arrow even viable again.....

BTW, The Wrath rune word bow with crushing blow stacked(from boots/helm/armor/bow itself) is by far the most lethal bow combination. This combo makes multi-arrow even viable again.....

Except ctc mods only cast on the two middle arrows of a multishot volley, and crushing blow is hit hard by ranged penalty, not to mention additional penalties due to extra players in a game.

Okay, finished the mini-ubers(Lillith took some time...). Went after the Ubers in tristam and got my butt handed to me. The build basically worked, but I could not handle the crowds of minions created everywhere..... Re-thinking my strategy.

Most builds would die if they got stuck with the 3 and the minions ;) You need to divde and conquer, but having no Tele makes that very difficult.

Some rings, wands etc carry Necro curses such as Confuse or Attract. You could could try them out as I have tried those with my necro and it does help to take the heat off some of the party whilst keeping lifetap or decrip on the ubers themselves. Good luck.

because a bowazon is only as good as her tanks :)

the valk and merc die extremly fast in uber tristram and then all those pretty minions are looking straight at you :)
