Stormlash vs. Heaven's Light

So I was fortunate enough to find both of these, with the Heaven's light being (3/291/2s Nice!). I personally have never been to uber tristram so I wouldnt know if the static actually affects any of the minions much less the bosses themselves. So which weapon to the zmiters prefer if they could not have death or grief?

Also, for Heaven's Light, is it just standard what to socket it with (%dmg/IAS) or is there something cooler I'm missing.

(Just getting into this whole smiter deal, been mfing with my sorc a lot and just now getting good gear for the other classes)

As I have only used a heaven's light for the ubers i can't comment on the effectiveness of a stormlash, but i can say that a heaven's light is fantastic. If you have been lucky enough to find such a high heaven's then i would certainly use it.

I cannot comment for certain but i am pretty sure that meph cannot be static-ed because of his immunity to lightning. Therefore using a stormlash wouldn't be that great for meph and as he is the hardest this would be a major draw back

If you are rich enough, socket the heaven's with a ed/ias jewel and a Ber rune. If you are not exceedingly wealthy (like me :) ) just put whatever you fancy in there. I popped an eth and a p-skull to help with baal runs.

I've tested both,they are both nice but i'd go with stormlash. Speedy,stylish and it has a handy light absorb. Static works with the non light immune minions in there but doesn't affect the ubers of course.
