I mean, If i had a choice of using a Last Wish and a Grief, what would be better?

Last Wish offers a lot of CB, so I could ditch my Duress for Fortitude and my Gores for Treks. IT also offers Life Tap at a higher % than draculs, so I could ditch my draculs and get steel rends or laying of hands. so why do so many people suggest using Grief?

Also with Grief, where are you gonna get the additional CB from? Its almost impossible to max CB using a Grief because I am using Heavens Light and that gives me 33, whereas Grief gives none.

grief for pvp, period.
and if you're only pvm - use LW if you have one.

LW is overrated (especially for those runes socketed in it), Heaven's Light is a lot better for smiters. The only thing missing from it is PMH. (in terms of pvm)

I've only mentioned LW because he asked for it.
I think LW is a waste of runes, tbh.
You can make 3 good rw's out of its runes :)

So how does Grief Damage effect Smite? Does it add to direct damage? Without holy shield and fanatacism, my damage is 390. Without holy shield, it jumps to 990.

So will Grief add to my damage without holy shield? so now it will be (assuming 400 from grief) 790 without holy shield?

+Damage from Grief adds to your base shield damage. 6k Smite using Grief is incredibly easy to achieve. It just doesn't get displayed in the Lying Character Screen.
