i dont want to use my resi shield if possible, so resi's are a big problem at the moment. still might need an anya quest or 2 too :|

skills after equip:

24 holy shield
25 fanat
11 defiance (putting rest of points in here)
base : sacrifice, charge, holy bolt, conc, blessed aim, might

merc : act2 defiance merc, basically def equip, need recommendations for equip...

i die fast and i can't kill. I know im missing crushing blow at 65%, so i'm buying a Black today. otherwise, i'm stumped. I cant really afford a zaka :/

You didn't mention something vital for this build : Life Tap ! Even when cast on ubers, you may see your life go up and down like a yoyo. I can't even imagine fighting them without it...

The most common sources of Life Tap :
- Dracul's Grasp, unique gloves with 5% to cast it on striking
- A wand with charges
- Marrowalk, unique boots with charges

Dwar Star is advised because of fire absorb.

Agreed, dracs is the way to go. Resist is also a big problem here. Try to fill it with charms or what not, or even use Kira's if necessary. You did socket everything with an Um, did you?

AnimeCraze : i havn't socketed anything yet, hence why i put "1os" next to my shield and helm ;P i have since socketed my shield with a pdiamond and i have the um for my guillames face BUT im just gonna find out if its worth it :)
i was planning on using a lifetap wand but seeing as i'm buying the Black runeword, i'm gonna use draculs (there goes another chunk of the bank :P) and have baranars on switch for finishing them off. thanks for the help so far, but i still need questions answering ;)

A HoZ should help those resists a lot, and a low ED one shouldn't be too expensive.

I recommend making the treachery runeword and use treachery in act 5 somewhere to get fade to trigger. Once faded, gear up with your main set of gear and hop in. (I have not tried this, I get fade from another source, but I did read about it and I think it should work nicely).

The fade will boost your resists enough so that when meph uses conviction, you wont fall to peices.

I personally would rather see a nice rare ring other than dwarfstar, but that's just me. I've never bothered with dstar and have had no issues whatsoever with fire damage.

You should do absolutely everything you can think of, however, to get max resists even prior to fade. Maybe take a look at tgods to up the light resist a bit, just a thought.
