Faith Colossus Crossbow

Has anyone ever tried this?? The damage on it is 32 to 91 (61.5 Avg). A superior with 15% ED would be a little scarry.

The damage on a Grand Matron Bow has 14 To 72 (43 Avg) while the +3 to bow skills is nice you only save 6 stat points over all for the average Straf/Multi setup.

The damage difference between a lvl 20 and 23 strafe is small. An on bow average damage increase of 18.5 is huge I think. Min goes up 18. Max goes up 19.

The weapon speed looks the same (+10) The Fanat aura with a little IAS gear should bring you up to a decent strafe speed.

crossbows are slower than bows no matter what base speed is, i dont know the exact stats, but try it buri vs wf for example, buri "should' be faster but it sure as hell aint.

Faith Colussus Crossbow: 137 - 391 dmg (15% superior: 142 - 404)

The only reason why you'll ever want to use a xbow for strafing is for bypassing the 4 frame nextdelay against single targets, by strafing at 5 frames. A Faith Colussus Crossbow strafes at 4.5 frames with no additional IAS, which is hit by nextdelay, since it alternates between 4 and 5 frames. You do have the advantage of being able to hit a 3 frame strafe with 70% IAS (Slvl 15 fanat). Last but not least, the str requirement. It's huge, with 163 str required.

You're better off with a Faith Gorgon Crossbow. 107 - 374 dmg (15% sup: 111 - 387), 117 str required, a max of 4 sockets so you can just socket one at Larzuk and only 34 - 36% EIAS required for max speed (48 - 52% IAS).

Both also hit the maximum speed for normal attack (11 frames) with those amounts of IAS.
