Hi there,

I have just started a new Ama, which is my first Ama as well.
Coming from Barb-playing this is quite an experience I must say.
However, i have no clue on which skills to invest in...
not for MF, but to kick some *** in Hell...

Please help a noob

Hi,

You can check the stickies for the guides and I must say there are a few pretty nice ones... I myself like playing a javazon! It cuts through all like a hot knife through butter (except the darn li...) and the LI i take out with jab and my valkyrie! My stats are as followed

Maxed:
Power strike (synergie)
Charged strike (main attack)
Lightning fury (main attack)
Valkyrie

1 to:
All passive skills (with plusskills they are awsome!!!)
4 pre-req in the javalin and spear tree

For the gear; U don't need uberstuff... I use the following
- Shako (selffound)
- Stupid ammy with mf / gf and +1 skills (self gambled)
- Titan's (cheap one)
- Skullders (traded)
- Storm (traded)
- +2 jav / 20 ias / 24 mf (other mods; self found)
- Nature's peace (traded)
- Razortail (Perfect for the pierce, more damage thundergods...)
- Ravenfrost (self found)
- war travs 43 (self found)
(The traded stuff was done with an tal's ammy I came across and an um I found on the helforge)

Charms that I have:
-A torch (really handy to use especially against li. U'll see that they die fast with this one!)
-Gheeds
-1 plain Jav. skiller

And i can kill baal, kill nihilathak, run the countess, kill Mephi, do cows really fast. Though gloams are a real pain with this setup... And i probably die trying the ubers so I don't :D

Hope u have fun (that's the most important thing!)

grz,

TB

how kewl!
thank for the help!
although I was actually hoping for a bowazon,
i think i will make both

by the way: is The Impaler any good?
i am now using it on a merc, but maybe I should consider it helpful for a spearbased ama?

Hi,

I don't really like spears because u loose the shield... So never tested it...
Could be sexy while jabbing

Hmmm... "The Impaler"... based on the skill it was derived from it should suck real bad. Early levels it's ok though. :D

hi,

What slayer37 said. They suck :D They are way to slow to do any real damage... Tried it ones against gloams (with an uber twinked char...) With jab i managed easily but with impale I was just a sitting duck getting the crap fried out of me... Don't try fend either (just a tip :D). If u want to try both make a hibrid... They could be fun (what I heard never played one)...

I like javazons too. Basically put a few points in some of the passive skills and at least 10 in valkrie no matter what build you make. For me, LF for crowds and CS for bosses is the best combo. Then work on synergies. As for dealing with LI immunes, I never had any problems, although it may have been my gear, merc, and valkire that helped alot. I was using eth upped~193/5 titans, shako, highlords, gores, tgods, rare +2 jav gloves with ias and some other mods, ravenfrost, another rare ring, alot of poison and dmg small charms, and a phoenix shield. Even without my infinity merc (because he likes to die), I could take down LI immunes with relative ease. On the other hand, if you come across LI and PY immunes you may be better off running if you don't have an infinity(you don't see many like this though). I know I have a low post count but I've been nosing around the forums for a while. ;) Hope this helped some. Check some of the strategies around here because they are really good.
