Does a lvl 25 Conviction still get negated by a lvl 26 Conviction in PK's? I posted this in Paly forum but no successful replies...

I also heard that this can be countered, and that a lvl 1 Conviction can negate a lvl 50 Conviction.

Any of this true?

I don't know if the higher Level Conviction still cancels out the lower. But I'm sure a Level 1 Conviction doesn't cancel out a Level 50 Conviction...that I can tell you.

Higher lvl cancels out lower lvl conviction in 1.10. Dont think they patched it.

Unless it has been changed, whoever has the higher level conviction is the one that works. The lower level one is basically negated. You cannot counter it unless you add some +skills to your own. I have no clue what happens when they are equal, but it shouldn't be too hard to test.

Personally, I would just use the light res aura instead of conviction if I was being negated. You can end up with 95 light res that way pretty easily regardless of his conviction.

Obviously I would switch to Light Resist against Templars, but what I do against lvl 26 Conviction V/T's? They will just Smite with aura on, and I won't have anything that helps me negate Smite.

I don't have any char that uses Conviction, so can't test it myself. Only couple friends use V/T's... anyone wanna test this?

Er, if you tell me what char you will be using, I can probably offer a strategy to beat the v/t, or at least tell you how hopeless it is ;).

Auradin... >.<.

Auradin... >.<.

I haven't had much experience dueling auradins, but as I understand it they are basically zealers using dreams and conviction aura.

Hmm, lets see. Non-ww melee vs smite. That'll work...wait.

The only possibly thing you could do would be shoot him with arrows for very little damage. Alternatively, I suppose you could try to raise your conviction level beyond theirs with offensive skillers or something, but a good smiter is probably just going to use salv and crush you anyway.

Good freaking luck on that one :).

They are chargers that use dream sheild, dream helm, dragon armour, and hand of justice. Only dreams are dreamadins.

Same thing basically then. If you try to melee a smiter with anything but ww or smite, you're gonna die pretty much.

That probably means your auradin is hopeless.

Wow thats encouraging. ;)

I won't charge against any melee, just against casters. I'm planning to play defensively against all melees... just Charge around while my pulses kill them really really really slow... lol.

So the Conviction negation in PvP is true? :(

Yeah the conviction thing is true. Also vs v/ts you can try charging but they will just charge lock you while taking little dmg.

Grief Charge + Smite without Fana but Conv > my pulses without Conv + my weak measely HoJ charge. :(
