alwright you bloody idiot, unlike west (where the idiots seem to think that the ww barb is the pinnacle of melee dueling), 75% of dueling games rarely even have ONE barb in them, and most are either the bvc builds (joke to kill), or the botd/shield barbs (even easier to kill). Considering my build kills 90%+ of the builds that i come across, your statement is moot. The ONLY character that can beat me without resorting to bm is a blizzard sorceress, the others are an utter JOKE.
From the Bnet Forums. Hmm, he went off on how his Fire Trapper kills everything. He also said that he owns BvC barbs. O_o Find him luis! Show him he's wrong. :p [He wasn't talking to me, btw]

You can't waste any more time on a shooter than you do on D2. I can't decide between battlefield2 or quake4 or something similar. I like the whole big-scale battle idea, but I also like the less-realistic more flashy stuff like UT and Quake. Actually, I think I'm getting a free download of half-life2 with my new computer(10 more days :( ), but I already have a copy of it. Maybe you can use it and I can crush you at that ;).

I've been considering making a small comeback in D2 as well, to test some things in order to rewrite the windy guide to make it truly comprehensive. Fenris has just about everything right, but there's new gear, and new builds, and some strategies that should be in there. Plus, I could finally duel you and the rest of the nubs with a decent connection :).

my computer is crap so i can't play any of the sexy new games. My friends have been trying to convince me to let them build me a new one. But if i do get a new computer I probalby won't be able to control myself and will probalby never study and spend the rest of my life working minimum wage jobs. Your achievements in a game (unless you are a korean pro gamer) are often inversely proportional to your success in real life. Also i took accutane and my acne all cleared up, I finally got laid this summer and it's time to hunt for more.

I think the light trap assa is easily more dangerous to fight than this type

I also dominated full games 1 on 7 with my friend's poison java while having 1k ping.(noob games though)

lol, I have to know, what was your name back then? I for one was a top DM player in AoE but by the time AoK came out I played both DM and RM so I was still considered a pro but my DM skills were hindered, espically by the time the expansion rolled through.

Oh, and quit editing chris, I never notice it. You're angry at the world, just admit it! I still don't see what difference lf makes. The worst it could do is make me block(and thats only if you don't die from my first namelock), unless I'm forgetting something. A windy can pretty much be on you before you can hit him if he's fast(go cable!). The difference between your barb and a windy, is that zons can block you, and a good portion of your life is gone by the time you even get to the zon. Dodging(or evading, whatever) is worse for a zon than blocking I'm pretty sure. Have you tried using a windy against your friends zon? Use mine if you have to, I'm betting you won't have any trouble.

royalpaladin14.I quit more than 2 hand a half years ago. To say i was the best in the world was obviously an exageration since it lacked official dm tournaments to really show who the best was but I was a top player with every civ on every map not just one of those green arabia 1 on1 hun war palyers who played the same thing over and over. I had many names that i played rated game with but i forgot most of them. I only got their ratings to 1900ish though somce people wouldn't play me because of my high win ratio either that they either drop tricked or did other ****. That's what i hated the most about that game. It was all about trading ratings, drop tricking to get your ratings up and it was hard as hell to find people willing to play in rated games if you had a good win/loss ratio. I was pretty good at rm too but defintely not a top player.
I was also in crucial, templar, gods, and several other clans but most of them were rather short-lived.

yes i did fight his zon. He used mcmc's bo, his friend's vigor and conc and shot me to 1/4 life before we said go and i still beat him then he simply stated zons can't beat druids.

thats y i dont duel with you @@. you poon me and i dont want to get pooned. bah, css in 8 minutes =/. barbs > fire trappers. the only things fire trappers are good against are: sorcs, necros, druids, and other things that cant get out of being locked. barbs and pally and other sins usually beat them cuz they can get out of lock. for sins, ww = out of lock, lightning > fire cuz of dmg and range. anyways, fire trappers are great for team dueling =)

Ryan. He pvmed and traded more than he dueled and he kept making new chars so he never spent much time dueling with any of them. plus his nec doens't have amp. with amp.... lol you can imagine the rest.

lol you beat blobs ? that's hard for me to believe since i beat you on foot with no dr. Thre reason i hated dueling on 56k was i was used to cable and didn't wanna have to run all day like 56kers have to.

actually when i dueled his zon i was also downloading with bittorrent. I think the secret to beating zons is to have 112081204892141 ping so you'll land on them by surprise.

Anyone else find it strange that this new patch did nothing to skills? I mean, they actually took the effort to make all that new crap, but no skill changes that take like 1 second to do? Weakest patch Ever. Actually, I wasn't around for any but 1.10, but still.

blobs sucks vs druids the only time I bvded him i won with full life. :lol: he had 1 axe and it was nm. so i never dueled him again to keep my 100% winning percentage.

Someone's been hanging out too much on other forums ;).

Wasn't aware there was anything to dodge, but if there is, of course I dodge. Aoe is slow. Shooters are where it's at. Oh, and this game I suppose. D2 is like a shooter where you can cheat by having better stuff than the other guy. :)

I do like the crack though, maybe I should cut back. :(

Someone's been hanging out too much on other forums ;).

Wasn't aware there was anything to dodge, but if there is, of course I dodge. Aoe is slow. Shooters are where it's at. Oh, and this game I suppose. D2 is like a shooter where you can cheat by having better stuff than the other guy. :)

I do like the crack though, maybe I should cut back. :(

Psh, if I ever go to jail, it will be for something cooler than crack. Like, stealing an elephant from a zoo and taking it on a joy-ride through rush-hour traffic. I wonder if police would just shoot you or try to drag you down first. :scratch:

get aoe3 rauth, it's an awsome game. I can get good at rts wihtout playing a lot but i can't beat those people who play fps 24/7.

Never! I don't have 50 bucks to throw around at the moment, not if I want to keep eating anyway. I got my computer yesterday, about a week earlier than I thought. I almost hugged the fed-ex guy. Anyways, it came with FarCry, half-life2, and bet on soldier(sucky, but its free, so whatever). I'm cruising through FarCry at the moment, awesome game. Should get the internet hooked up in a few days or so.

Wish I had time to play fps a lot, but I don't, so you can still play me and have a decent shot. It's not a complicated game. Aim faster and more accurately than the other guy and you win. Only other advantages you can have are knowing maps and whatnot.

Technically we aren't even all that off topic despite the 5 pages of non-diablo stuff. Its all pvp ;).

Oh man, a guy with an account name like lightpotato HAS to be godly. Try not to get pwned too badly luis.

bvc builds are quite easy to predict the movement and even easier to stunlock and defeat if the barb is not absorbing.

I'd go after him myself if I were east.. someone show him what's up already. :p

HL2 is really nice looking, but the comp I'm on currently has a heart attack everytime you try... lame..

Yeah, I made sure I would be able to run every game with all the highest settings when I configured my computer. I've got all the details turned up and running at the max resolution with no problems in frame rate. Not bad for a system that only cost me 1300 including 19 inch moniter and speakers.

HL2 looks freakishly real in every area. I catch myself just stopping to look around instead of actually doing what I'm supposed to. That and playing with the gravity gun, its just plain fun.

man i really wanna get aoe3 but my friends said it has even higher requriemtns than battlefield 2. and i don't wanna get a new comp so that i'll feel obligated to play games more and get distracted from more important things

Heh, I downloaded a demo of aoe3 yesterday. It's fun, but it really is just aoe2 with a few interesting new features and better graphics.

Learn to prioritize plz.

Oh, and I finally got my wireless internet set up yesterday. It's aproximately 600 times faster than my dialup. Just a Little faster. ;)

come get owned in d2. And someone who doesn't really RTS shouldn't talk as if they know what they are talking about. What seem like little changes in an RTS can completely change the style of the game and the balancing of the factions. Only an RTS expert can tell the real difference.

I'm working on getting d2 ;).

Of course I like RTS games, and I know exactly what I'm talking about. I've played aoe2, all the warcrafts, rome-tw(sorta rts), startcraft, etc etc etc. Aoe3 is fun for sure, its just not anything fresh. Consider it a very good patch for aoe2. A patch can coompletely change the style and balance of the game(ie, 1.10 d2), but that doesn't make it worth 50 bucks ;).

i doubt you've played them online. Only multiplayer matters in RTS. single is for people who hardly play games or little kids. All the people i know who actually play RTS in a semi-serious way thinks aoe3 is awsome and defintely worth buying. ANd what kind of changes would you want anyway? If they changed the game too much it wouldn't be aoe anymore and true aoe fans would be dissappointed. The aoe series introduced the concept of having different ages and having different tech tress thus creating unique strategies for different factions everyone else just copied. (cough blizzard cough)

lol if the graphix, sound effects, game play, balacing and all improved dramatically what more can you ask? THe game even takes place in a completely different historical period. Maybe what you want is aoe4 modern warefare. There will be airplanes, submarines and stuff lool. supersonic jet fighters or space particle cannons just woulnd't fit into this age period. If you want fantasy stuff you can try AOM but personally i think wc3 is better.

I'll admit, I haven't done any recently, and it was never my main activity, but I got more than my fair share of hours logged in starcraft and warcraft3 and aoe2. I was never super good at them or anything, but I was slightly above mediocrity ;).

Heh, I only had one truly skilled friend in RTS, and yeah, he wooped me every time. Most of the time he could take any of us 2v1 in starcraft, which seems impossible.

David told me about that on aim. I wish I hadn't given away all my ladder gear away before I left. I had a 42 and a bunch of high 30s, but meh. I can get away with 30ish charms easily. I'll probably end up rebuilding. Is the torch thing ladder only or what? If not, get me one!

I've tried CS a few times and I was pretty good at it, but it just isn't as fun for me as quake or UT. I have CS: source right now, don't know if its different than regular or what. If it isn't I prefer to not have to worry about anything but out-manuevering/aiming the other guy.
