I saw a lightning sorc on NL wear one of these and realized that guardian angel isnt all that bad for sorces, infact its very good. The block is a big plus for sorces who use stormshield and need max block, and the +% resists are godly. This type of sorc would not be one of those 1 hit kill glass cannon types, she would be a tank sorc.

What do you guys think, should this armor be used for pvp?

It can be used in pvp and will help thesorc provideing she can get max resists with it and enough stacked res.

Guardian Angel is my all-time favourite armour. Why? It's very cheap, much cheaper than Enigma or CoH which are my next two fav's. The +15 max resist all mod is insane.
GA is best on an Avenger, but most characters can benefit from it, especially in PvP. If you do good damage and have max resists, you can tank any elemental attack (for a short time... 18k fireballs at 200FCR still hurt after a few hits ;)) - except Blizzard and very high level Frozen Orbs (Cold Mastery is just too much... stacking 100 extra resist with Guardian Angel on is not worth it).
I'm going to write a guide for PvP using GA one day... lol.
On a sorc, GA can be good. However, meleers (esp. Smiters...) will still kill you, as will Windies...
The most important modifiers to have are 190 Resist All (at least), Damage Reduction, FHR and 75%CTB in order to survive PvP... for damage you need +skills, -enemy resistance, FCR etc... How do you get this? Here are some suggestions:
Helm: Kira's Guardian (50-70 resist all and Cannot Be Frozen...no skills though :( ;)). Socket with Um or Ber. Also could try a Crown of Ages or Shako for damage reduction and skills (socket with Ums)
Weapon: If you need resistances and FCR Wizardspike is very useful. Also try Occy, HotO and Eschuta's or Nightwings for skills, resistances etc...
Armour: GA... duh. Socket with Um rune or resist jewel if you need.
Shield: Stormshield for PvP (DR, some resists, nice block). You should socket this with an Um or PDiamond for resists or a Hel rune, so you can invest more in dexterity for max block.
Amulet: Mara's (20-30 resists, skills, stats) or Metal Grid (up to 35 resists, and defense).
Gloves: Depends on build, Magefists, Frostburns etc...
Rings: SoJ (mana and skills), Ravenfrost (Dexterity helps, and CBF if you don't use Kira's).
Belt: Verdungo's (DR)
Boots: take your pick, they won't change much. Some FR/W is nice but you can tele. Tearhaunch have 10 resist all i think.
Charms: If you can afford, then obviously Anni, Torch, skillers etc... and the usual bunch of PvP charms: life, FHR, extra resists, etc...

Let's take a quick look at those resists (on fairly average gear):
Um'd Kira's Guardian (75)
Heart of the Oak flail (chosen from the list of items as the best for a generic sorceress, or any class for that matter - 35 i think is about average... or is it only FCR that varies... I get confused easily lol)
Um'd Guardian Angel (15... enough to cover the +max resists)
Hel'd Stormshield (0 - nice cold and lightning resist will help with enemy Conviction and Cold Mastery though)
Mara's Kaleidoscope (25)
Magefists (0)
Verdungo's Hearty Cord (0)
The Stone of Jordan (0) * 2
Sandstorm Trek (0)
Annihilus (20...unless it varies, I havn't found any)
3 Anya's Quests (30)
Total = 200 resist all (capped at 90 in hell), with boosts to Cold, Poison and Lightning resistances.
Your DR will also be near 50, with +8 to all skills (acceptable)
If you get better gear, ie perfect Kira's, Mara's etc... this gives you more flexibility with gear. Eg you'd have 220 with perfect resists on the above set-up, so you could remove the Um's from GA and Kira's, and maybe go for Shaels instead for FHR...
Charms will fill any gaps you have.
All-in-all the gear is moderately flexible, especially to account for budgets. Play around.

Just a quick post, this is not meant to be a guide lol. Tell me what you think.
