does a GA bowazon stand any chance against smiters?
from my exeprience i think no, i just can't avoid the charge. if you have any strategy for dueling smiters with a GA bowazon post here please.

i'd imagine using a harmony bow and lots of slow enemy gear would be an option, cleglaws gloves used to be a lifesaver more than once with 25% slow target and knockback. in my experience though you don't stand much of a chance.
I used to win against them by getting really far out, casting Decoy and just waiting till they got nice and close and just unloaded on em, if they don't use CTA any bowzon should be able to take them out in about 5 hits, if CTA is an issue just start firing as you stand right behind your Decoy and as he comes towards you stop firing just so you don't give your position away.
It's funny when they get close and see you and a Decoy they stop for a good 5 seconds to try to figure out which one you are, when they stop thats when you finish them off, this seems to be the only way I was able to kill them, otherwise I was just as "hooped" as you guys are.
Only problem is the "smart" ones max their block.
Most likely the duel will end with him blocking a few arrows, desynching his way to you if you stop firing, and then either charge locking you to death, or a smite or three. :\

Lol, holy freeze, charge, smite. No chance for zons.
Get a hammerdin to stand by you spamming hammers. Then you can win ;).

If they don't use holy freeze you have a slight chance. If you're far away shoot a few arrows and switch to Titans/Shield and hope you dodge or block his charge (good chance you will). Then try to step away from him while throwing lightning furies. Lots of pub smiters charge straight in, so a lot of times the arrows will either kill or hurt them enough for a few LFs or Lightning bolts to kill them.
If they're good though, you don't really have much of a chance.

Yeah I agree here, LF/Javelin/Jabber whatever you want to call them -Amazons have more of a chance then the bow, it can be done, but the chances are always against the bowzons.
lighting bolt is superior to lf on a bowazon on this situation...unless u have crap noneth titans. good upped eth titans will give u like 3k LB vs 1k lf
make sure u have kb too.
but really u should just drop ur gold and unhost.

lies my lf does 2.8k damage without the lightning and it's unblockable just like smite.

The hell. You mean lightning fury right? Every time CS zons lf'ed me I got stuck in block animation. It was annoying as hell.

oh wait i think it's itd but blockable and it hurts ^^. espeically if your a druid with summons the bolts will hit u at once.

thank you all for all the replies but i really have no chance against smiters unforunately. i still think i have a good chance against them because i haven't used fortitude. i'm thinking of purchasing one and boos my dmg to arropund 10k (i do not know if this is enough) and with cristical strike and other mods that increase your damage i hope i'll finish the smiters with less hits. if this won't work i'll buy a faith and see what happens then. i really want to own those bad boys with my bowazon :(
oh , btw , using poison charms might be a solution though i consider it pretty lame , but charging is also lame so.... :D

I've never understood why anyone considers poison lame. Its not any more lame than any other kind of damage. And if you are comparing lameness, desynch charge is 100x lamer than anything else.

Incorrect LF >LB if u have up'd eth titans
LB turns 100% physical damage to elemental. What are the chances the pally has crap resists?? LF the light damage is meaningless u use it just for the physical damage it deals.
Now if the pally has stacked dr then ur as good as done. Otherwise just walk Lf behind u with ss out for dr//block

I agree. LF > LB. Knockback just means that they can charge again immediately, which isn't a good thing. With the right amount of FRW, you will get out of smite range before they switch to smite after charging. LB does ALOT less damage compared to LF. Why? Let's say a LB does 2.4k damage.. that would do 100 damage per bolt. A LF doing 3k physical would do 250 per hit assuming they have max DR. Yeah, LF is blockable, but putting them in block animation is acutually helpful at times. I've tried both and LF is more effective than LB.

y i agree posion is smart to use especially if u come up against a tough char with max dr and u do purely physical dmg.
most bow amazons i fight use alot of posion which is for a good reason becasue i have max dr and max block.
but desynch charge is annyoing u cant see wots hitting u and ur beening knocked back lol

Despite common belief, poison isn't any good. A full inventory of poison charms (15k~ damage) won't even take out 1/3 of a barbs life.

they can just drink antiode, so posion is still useless.
oh ya, most pallies has good res btw.
