Sorry if this is asked a lot. Has anyone ever had this breakpoint? How nice is it? I'm about to roll my first spirit monarch and if I get %30+ I could just reach the 200 mark. I want to give it a go. I've never been able to reach this breakpoint before so I hope it seems significantly better. If I get less than 30 on my spirit... :( Then I'd just have to try again on my next white monarch.

It's a "common" bp for PvP fireball sorcs (barbarian singers too :eek: ).

thats one way. 15+fcr amulets with good mods are hard to come by.
dupe using nonladder players can have wizardspike gloves and/or 1.08 valkyries wing to help a bunch.
wizardspike instead of eschutas is +10fcr and gives you more amulet options.

Triple Wizzies. ;) 150% with just weapon + glove + armor. 08 Valk + 2x FCR Rings. 200% leaving you with ammy + shield open. STORMSHIELD!

no you cant. they would be *very* popular if you could though.

P.S.: There are legal ways to get 200% FCR so use them. PvPing with the hacked stuff is just damn lame...

I'm interested to see teleport and fireball once I get 200. I have a level 87 character. If he crafts a level 85 amulet I'll get an ilvl 85 caster amulet yes? Would that mean it'll have a minimum clvl requirement of 85 and maybe more if it gets certain mods? Should I use lower level amulets because I'd like to get one I could equip at level 80 or less, so once I get arachnid's mesh on I'll have the lot. I have to start a new sorceress because I didn't put enough strength in my others.

200 fcr is'nt really needed in PvM but it won't hurt ;) (other than loosing some other (better) equipment)

Yes thanks, that's what I mean by burning a hel on it. :) With the sorceress I am building to put all this on I got a perfect amethyst and a ral from normal hellforge. Seems I'm fated to craft an amulet for her... My first two attempts got <9% fast cast and rubbish other mods, but I'll keep trying. I'll keep using an amulet from hell pit and a level 87 character to craft so I ought to have good mods available.

Cleaning recipe works on runewords as well? :eek: Gotta try that.
200 FCR Lightning Sorcs are horrible. They can only attack at like 11 or 12 Frames. While FB Sorcs can Tele & spam at 7 Frames.

just because 200 fcr fb sorc > 200 fcr light sorc, doesnt mean they are horrible
Couple things - Yaneshi, you will not be able to get +2 to class skills on an amulet crafted like that. Going by Arreat Summit information, it works as the following :
The level of the item, divided by two (drop any halves here), added to the level of the character crafting, divided by two (again, drop any halves).
Hell pit has monsters of level 85. So 85/2 = 42.5, and you drop the half, so 42.
Your level is 87. So 87/2 = 43.5, drop the half, 43.
Final amulet level = those two totals, so 42+43 = 85. You need to have the final level of the amulet equal 90 or higher, or there's no chance of +2 class skills. But if you're fine with that, by all means, have fun! Crafting's a blast, I do it quite often.
As far as lightning cast rate sorcs go - The reason they seem so slow is because their fastest cast speed is at 117%. I can't remember how many frames it is, 11 or 12 sounds about right. However, you COULD build a 200% fcr charged bolt sorceress... and that would be just a blast, because the only two lightning spells limited by the 117 cap are lightning and chain lightning. All other lightning spells have the normal cap of 200%.

Oh wow that's high. I must confesss my eyes glazed over a bit reading through the information about crafting. I got that I would have a level 85 amulet and just sort of assumed that would be high enough. So I would have to be level 96 to use pit amulets (not happening), or stay 87 and only use Diablo/Baal ones, or get to 88 and I can use Baal minion ones too. Narrows it down a bit. Hmm, bad news but thanks for the heads up.
I used a hel and got 33 on the new spirit so I'm all set. I'll still craft once I get a character up a bit higher, so if I ever get a 17% ammy I can use Hoto instead of wizzie. (One day I'll have a Hoto!)
You are ladder or non ladder? If ladder europe i can giveyou 35 fcr spirit.

Is 200% FCR correct for lightning or is it a little higher since it is not 105% but 117% ? I know nova is 200% but are you sure lightning is?

i dont know who can verify it, but i made a thread a long time ago regarding it. and other people did tests in single and open and agreed that 200 fcr is a new breakpoint for lightning at 11 frames.

the breakpoints for spells besides lightning and chainlightning are:
40 - 63 - 105 - 200. 200 being 7 frames
the breakpoints for lightning and CL are
78 - 117 - 200, 200 being at 11 frames

That's very generous! Thanks very much for the offer, but I rerolled a 33% so I'm good now. I just reached level 80 and got all the pieces onto her. She has max resists, ~700 life (no charms yet) and teleports like a dream, but only +4 skills which is a shame. +3 additional fire helps a bit (magefist and +2 fire on circlet). What I'm hoping now for is a +2 sorc 17% fc ammy and a vex to make hoto. :clap:
