how much did the barb change relative to the other classes? stronger or weaker?

i hear no marrow bug so necros are weak now, druids have fortitude but then barbs have grief, and smiters are still weak, and hammers do less

anything holding barbs back?

or is the only fair fight 5v1 or 10 rounds no heal on the barb side, like it was before? :D

are there still wiz gloves and that sort of thing

it's still a fair fight for a barb :o
barbs probably got better cuz hellfire and grief came out
hellfire allows a BvC to have all base stats while using a grief
wiz gloves are still around this was just a ****ty anti hakc stand in disguise by making the old man weaker and adding an overgrown annihilus

Necros should be weaker against barbs but more versatile gear wise against other classes as most will probably be using duped fhr/res/stats boots. However, I have heard that good use of Prison at the right time can make a necro more dangerous.

The best necs I knew didn't really bother with marrows. The damage gain is negligable and the bone armor gain isn't nearly as important as being good at avoiding attacks. I think the best necs will be just as good without marrows as with, although they may tank a bit less. The real difference is that nl barbs have grief now.

smiters arent weak at all, after Grief came out the are one of the best...

just dueled chris today and got destroyed by his consistant damage. ( i was es/fire sorc) barbs definetely got stronger and me witnessed first hand. grief = crazy barbs.

also with hellfire out your barb wouldnt have needed to invest any strength or dex like your barb had. base all ez. come back to d2 i show you good time and revive clan bM ez.

I notice that smiters are tougher in NL if the smiter knows not to just shift in a ww duel then it's more dangerous. I was getting killed by this exile smiter that knew how to dodge ww even with my grief/doom setup I wasn't able to hit him enough. Then I went cheesy and went the widowmaker route and ww away. :P

That seem to do the trick. :D ALthough it would help if actually leveled since I was level 78 barb and he was a level 88 pally.

You mean that ladder-smiters always shiftsmite? =)

If the smiter has good def and are higher levels he can be hard to hit, but he shouldn't hit you. Whats cheesy with widow btw? Smiter can just desynch and hit you off-guard =(

Not if I use puddles and switch quickly when he is frozen by holyfreeze. I don't feel the need to have clegs although since there are so many BM smiters around I might have to mule some over.

BM is arbitrary, but it's quite annoying when 4 pub-smiters charge/smite you at the same time. Clegs solve that.

You have a point there...

Almost every time I want to do my point and click zeal duels there are at least 2 smiters just bming in which case I have to bring my barb. That would be funny using widow to hit with initial slow then switch back to Grief/Doom and use DoD.
