Just starting in Diablo, my first online char is a Conc Barb, right now about lvl47. He's got good resists (85 fire, 65 cold, 75 lighting, and 60 poison) in Nightmare Act II. Two questions:
1. My main sword (exceptional something or other) has one socket on it. It already has 9% dual leech (life and mana) and some other stuff. What would be good to socket it with? I was thinking of a Pskull, to get more life leech. I don't have much in the way of super good jewels, but have Pgems and low to mid runes.
2. I also just got a good rare exceptional set of field plate, with some good extras, and it has two sockets. I was looking around to see if there were any 2socket runewords, and found that there are smoke (75% ED, +280 def against missile, +50 res all, +20% FHR), stealth (-3 MDR, +6dex,regen mana 15%, +30% posion, and 25% forFCR, FHR, and run/walk), and prudence (+25 FHR, +140% ED, +25 res all, -3 PDR, -17MDR, +2mana/kill). What do you think would be best?
I'd have some work to do get the runes needed for either stealth or smoke, but I can take some time to do that. (Need a Lum or Mal) Smoke looks good for the +50 res all, but I won't really need that until hell, and I don't know if the chances are good I'll have better armor by then. I also hate those archers, so the def against missiles would be nice.
Stealth doesn't see to do a lot for me, Prudence with the 25 res all and 140ED is nice, plus the -17MDR seems like it would be helpful (is 17 a decent amount of reduction?)
My defense is pretty good, I've got like lvl10 shout now, so I don't think I have problems with physical attacks (unless totally swamped by monsters), but I do have some problems when I run into massed archers or massed elemental attacks.
What would everyone recommend?
