ES worth in Classic?

Since you don't have charms to give you 3000k+ mana, nor + skills to make it with only 1 ponit I guess ES would require maxing ES+TK+Warmth, which would be at least 60 points, lefting little to attack spells. Is there people using Es in Classic across the realms? Is it really worth it? Or better get some backup spell?

I'm seing alot more sorcs use ES on west now. More so then when I was on east. The only good use for having ES is for duelin barbs though, in my opinion. I havent ever used ES in all my time playin D2 so i dont know if it reduces magical and melee or just melee (arrow missles too)...

What type of sorc are you planning on?
PvP with Forzen Orb as Main Attack. I'm leaning towards putting on Thunder Storm as secondary attack. I know the new "fashion" is Energy Shield, but I'm not sure if it can be effective in Classic.

It reduces physical AND magic attacks, though the "Damage goes to Mana" items only works for the physical, making it more suitable for melee I think...
