Pit of Acheron if that's what you mean is Act 5 waypoint 2 I think...

The Pit, as often mentioned as a good source of MF, can be found in the Tamoe Highlands of Act I. Beware that this is only a good farming place in Hell.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned it, but the reason WHY the pit is popular is because it's a level 85 area --- highest level in the game, therefore every item can drop there (except for special stuff such as annis, of course). The monsters are all Act 1 monsters --- easy pickings. The pit is reasonably large, with a good number of bosses --- pit level 2 in particular is crammed with boss packs, and a sparkling chest to try your luck.
