Question with fire claw synenergies

ok this is probably pretty noob of me but im totally confused. Ok so my fire claws damage is at 1007-1060. Now when i put on magefists, which give +1 to all fire skills which includes the 4 synenergies they 22% each to fire claws damage, fire claws only increase to 1089-1150. Is this right when technically 88% is added with each skill up?

sorry the math is just not adding up for me any help towards is greatly apreciated.

Only hard points in synergies add damage. That is, only points you place yourself. +skills don't count.
