I am making an MF lighting and cold sorc. I was wondering If you guys could help my build. Can you tell me were my flaws are, I know I have a lot, seeing how I am not a big sorc person. I was going to use chain lightning normally, becouse that does the most damage, but if it is imune to lightning, I was going to use frozen orb. Does that seem good?(* = main attack)
Cold
chilling armor = 10
cold mastery = 10
*frozen orb = 20
Lightning
teleport = 10
lightning mastery = 10
thunder storm = 10
*chain lighting = 20
nova = 10
Fire
Warmth = 1

chainlightning with frozen orb back up is a good plan. there is in fact a guide for this very sorceress in the stickied guide library. youll see it near the top: "sorceress guide library" or "build library" or something.
you have major problems though:
1. chilling armor = 10: this is awful. at most, 1pt. some people like it. i usually dont bother with it at all.
2. cold mastery = 10: you want lvl 17 after all your gear is done. see the guide for reasons. 10 might be about right depending on your gear.
3. frozen orb = 20: this is fine.
4. teleport = 10: no reason for this. 1 pt only.
5. lightning mastery = 10: definitely 20. 20. 20. twenty.
6. thunder storm = 10: no reason for this either. put 1 if you like. or 0. not vital.
7. chain lighting = 20: this is fine.
8. nova = 10: nova is very poor at killing things these days. 1 pt because its a prerequisite.
9. lightning = ? 20 in this definitely. 20. twenty. lightning and chain lightning synergize each other. so you get a good lightning for one big monster, and a good chain lightning for groups.
read the guide. read the guide. its there for a reason.

Big problem with lightning damage with the way you are building it. Most people would recommend maxing orb, lightning, chain lightning, and lightning mastery. 1 point in all utility skills, and rest into cold mastery.
Warning: This build (I'm playing with it atm) is heavily skill pt intensive, much moreso than your standard cookie-cutter meteorb build. It's very insufficient for MF runs, area based or boss based.
Good build for keyruns though.
look if you want a multi skill sorc i'd go with firewall/orb, you'll get more affective killing power. Lighting is a awsome skill tree fun to work with but it major flaw is dmg, you can't kill most hell boss's with lighitng(unless you have infinity, godly)..
personally i belive you hsould be going with a blizz sorc when mfing. run meph and andy(andys hard) with your blizz sorcy and you will find more items in a shorter amount of time.
if you decided to run countess, pindle eldrich etc.. you will be mfing for day and day and day and day.. belive me i'm running pindle/eldrich with 380mf. 600-800 runs a night(i have a secret weapon) and some nights i find crap and i'm pretty sure you don't have my secret weapon so stick with blizz and meph/andy or jsut meph.

Someone told me that it steals loads of mana if you just have one point in.True but +skills and manapool improvement with better gear/levels (+insight on merc if possible) will eventually bring the mana consumption down to bearable levels.
Sorc skill tree is very intensive skillpoint-wise and IMO any extra points into skills like static, teleport, cold armor, warmth are wasted. 1pt with +skills will be OK.
The only defensive skill worth investing points into is Telekinesis but only if you use ES.

Will I be able to kill pindleskin or baal with this build? Not like, extremely fast like my mephisto runs, but will I be able to at least kill them If I get bored of meph, and want to go for pindle/baal?

Meph dies slower to L/CL, but pindle dies rather fast. Also as suggested above, insight merc rules. No mana problems from lvl 27 and on. :lol:

i've made one of this nl and shes pretty great did this
1 - pre req, tele, thunder storm, frozen armor
20 - light mastery, cl, lightning, frozen orb
rest - cold mastery
gear
hoto, ss, shako (am considering griffs now), coh, maras, 2x sojs, wartravs, magefists, arach
9x lite gcs (yay tele takes 1 mana to cast)
merc gear
eth stone (am considering eth fort), eth ca infinity, eth gaze
kills pretty much anything, if i can't kill em, my merc usually does. :p
