Bvb/Speeder Setup

Currently haven't decided on two offers, I have full setup ready for either naga/anc speeder or mart/bh speeder. I dislike exes due to thier high req, but they look sex.. I've considered both possibilities and the weapons would be:

132 naga 20ias
232 anc

or

159 bh ias
275-280 mart

Other gear:

+2 priz 14 str ml baba ammy
+8 str +3 dex 30 cr 30lr gloves
+15 str life 19 cr 30 lr ring
+15 str 2 min 29 cr 30 fr ring
30 frw 33 cr 31 lr boots
18 str 32 life 20 cr 28 fr belt
20 cr 24lr life red bone helm

If I were to use a martel, i wouldn't really be adding any str due to the high str on my gear. Based on this and the fact I won't need a stack cr or lr shield as I will already have sufficient of each, which of the two weapon types would be superior in your opinion? After this thread is posted for maybe 2 days I'll be out with my speeder so look out ^^.

BvB and speeder are entirely different builds, I guess you're looking for a BvA build. Personally I prefer bh for bvb (as i alwasy have high str, and by high i mean 240+ base) and axe for speeder. For BvB you're going to want crushing blow and angelics for AR, because sadly it is 1.1 :( Also, a martel barb works best for crushing your enemies with alot of str, so go for 170 base, let those items work it up to 250 or so, and you can do over 2k damage ^_^

Naga//ancient axe > martel//bh. For pvp, imo.

Martel/Ancient Axe/Naga = 3, BH = 1 range :)
The obvious reason to choose axe is to save 45 str and add that to life, but I prefer alot of str for one hit kills :D

Yeh this is awkward, right now im offering 3 sojs for gg mart or gg anc axe, but can't seem to find any I like.. What's the dmg to soj ratio for these 2 weps on east?

i'd go with the bh/martel, but that may just be my bias towards maces talking...they seem to get in the hard hits for me when i counts, edge weapons sometimes leave me hanging and scratchin my head as i collect my body... :o

but really, for the small stuff, either will work-- if you hit them, they will die....and for the harder fights for a speeder [a good hammerdin or a good bone necro], every hit really has to do the most-- if it takes you 2 or 3 connections with a din to kill them [as was my experience with anc axes], chances are they are going to pick you off before you can get the hits in. whoops a stray hammer here.....a stray hammer there.....o no they got away...

the martel speeders i've made just seem to hit harder -- they take out the huge majority of hammerdins [no matter how 'tank' they think they are] in one ww. so they only need to make one mistake, instead of 2 or 3. anyone else agree that martels just seem to deliver bigger hits?

and as far as a bh switch goes...
effectiveness i guess would depend on when you plan on whipping it out. is it just so you can put on a shield vs a pesky bvb/shield barb? or are you wanting to pick up extra resists from shield when dueling sorcs/fohers etc..?
if you're only planning on going to onehand when dueling other barbs that are hassling you, a bhammer works great, providing enough damage that your lowish life is less of an issue. i kept bvb stuff on my speeder for this kinda thing [rcage, 3 p ame crown, gtoes, angelics, 24fhr 20str 50life belt, 169 lite fire bham, 30/20 priz pavise, bfists], and he did well against most bvbs/shield barbs. --1.1k onehand dmg, 3.2klife, 69% block and 50% crushing blow....he hit pretty hard, and it took a well built pure bvb to kill him.

but~~

if you plan on doing alot of team dueling where you will be dueling a range of characters at once...say a sorc, a barb and a din.....i'm thinking naga may the way to go. the range on bh's is just to low when you're dueling things that are running from you....just not enough reach.
