First off, i would like to thank u for even hoovering over this thread, seeing as it doesnt discusses the usual necro business like bonemancers and summoners.
The avenging necromancer:
The idea:
The vengeance granted by a kingslayer in a Beserker axe or cryptic sword combined with the lower resist curse.
an even bone armor or summons
Kingslayer:
+30% Increased Attack Speed
+230-270% Enhanced Damage (varies)
-25% Target Defense
20% Bonus To Attack Rating
33% Chance of Crushing Blow
50% Chance of Open Wounds
+1 To Vengeance
Prevent Monster Heal
+10 To Strength
40% Extra Gold From Monsters
But before il try this build  i have some questions:
Did anyone tried ?
what itamz should i wear ?
ias BP's ?
Viable (i think it is, people solo'd hell with dagger wielding tankazon)
DISCUSS !! :)

I know that some sorcs does it with triple mastery. I don't know how viable would this be for a necro.

Doesn't sound like it'd work, especially since your vengeance level wouldn't get very high. Neat to think about, though.
Oh, the complete trang set gives a plus to Fire Mastery, so it'd probably up your damage a smidgeon. Doubt it'd go much farther, though
I'd really like to try one of these out on a sorc...hmm...Just to get a mal :\

It'd work fine - if you slapped on a couple of Dreams for the lv. 30 Holy Shock. Nobody liked the idea when I mentioned it though . . . :(
Check my unstickied, un-read, un-appreciated Nightmare Guide (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=350796&highlight=Nightmare) .
The problem with Vengeance is that it's based off of your basic PHYSICAL damage, and necros don't have any passive way to boost that. Holy Shock, on the other hand, would work just FINE, and if you threw on an Infinity polearm on your merc, would do MASSIVE damage. I provided 3 Lower Resist Melee builds in my guide, based around Dream: one with Zeal for dishing it out, one with P-Nova and Death's Web for total screen ownage, and one with P-Dagger for the pokers out there. The supplemental skill was mages, since the lower resist would make them hurt more.
I was going to add on a Vengeance-titan build (heavy on the strength for more base damage) but the response was, at best, lukewarm - much like the response to your idea. Why no love for the weird builds, I ask you?
I say do it. My Zealing double-Dream Necro Mage-king kicks butt in Hell - he can take any monster out - and that's WITHOUT Infinity! To heck with the nay-sayers - build your dream, baby!

I figured out the best equip for you:
Fortitude Armor (for the 300% ED, which will apply before Vengeance turns it all elemental!)
Phoenix Shield (for the 350~400% ED and the -28% to enemy fire resists - soooo sexy for an Avenging Necro!)
Helm: Either Griffon's or Nightwing's, for the skill + and elemental bonus damage. I'd go with Dream, but + skills mods that aren't dedicated (i.e., Necro-only) are hard to come by, and Fort and Phoenix all ready take up slots where you could get +4 or so.
With 750% base ED, a nice high-damage base weapon, a Might merc, and Infinity, you could make a KILLER Vengeance Necro! Back it up with Skelly Mages and Revives - imagine reviving a whole squad of Black Souls! Also, slap a Dream helm on your merc.
You could also go Dragon x2, HoJ, and Phoenix for HUGE fire damage. Double-Dream + Dragon would also work. Why hasn't anyone done this?
Oh - while we're at it - Doom ain't no slouch niether. Ice has a better slvl Holy Freeze though, but it occupies the shield slot as well. I posted about using max Decrepify, Ice (slvl 18 Holy Freeze), and slow equipment - all of which have STACKING slow effects - a while back. It would be hilarious - I can only imagine how slow bosses would get!

Don't lie, it is located in The Mouldy Tome: Necromancer Guides, Tips and Tests (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=366742) directly below the Daggermancer guide.

Beats me. People probably just don't want to have to play the game or think about overcoming a few obstacles.

I'm stickied? Really, I am?
*giggles like a schoolgirl*
Whoopee! I had no idea. I mean, there are so many people to thank! I'd like to send a shout out to my boys at Dessicated Corpse Studios for all their hard work on my album, my big brother Pete, my Mom - love you Mom! - oh, and, of course, God. Big ups to the man upstairs! Thank you Necrowood, and good night!
And here I thought I'd been totally forgotten. Now I have to get cracking on a re-write including all these new ideas! Crud!
Thanks Mantis - you made my day.

...Who has no appreciation for weird characters? Certainly not I...
JanusJones has convinced me that this might work, so now I'll have to be patient while leveling my first WWSin (four years and I STILL haven't made one) before starting my RevengeNecroThing.
