As the title says - does chance to cast benefit from synergies?

The reason I ask is because I am thinking of making a druid that will use a destruction sword (23% chance to cast lvl 12 volcano, 5% chance to cast lvl 23 moulton boulder) and a Pheonix shield (40% chance to cast lvl 22 firestorm). I figure somthing should cast pretty much every time i hit and often two things or even three at once.

Now, if the synergies count then by my calculations:

firestorm will do 1266-1470 damage per sec, and be going just over onec per sec so going pretty much constantly, (each cast lasts 0.6s (I think))
volcano 129-136 phys and 129-136 fire damage per boulder, and should go off about every 1.3secs and so also going pretty much constantly (volcano lasts about 6s and gives off about 75 boulders)
moulton boulder should do 489-573 phys, 423-496 fire and 502-513 per second and hit multiple times and should go off every few seconds.

All for no mana and on top of the normal damage from hitting! That sounds like a whole lot of fun to me.

Thoughts? fury or fireclaws? alternative equipment in the same theme?

Of course if synergys don't count then the damage from comes way down, but I still think it would look really cool.

Does casting time stop you from attacking?

I don't know, it'd be interesting to find out though - anyone know?

No. Its not really you "casting" the skill, it just sprouts out from your body. You will suffer no delay because of a ctc skills.

Yes it works. Life Tap goes on while I'm in Bear with my Barb from Dracul's.
