Hi i was wondering when u get to high lvl where do u go to lvl. is it cows, or diablo in hell. also i was wondering what build is the safest, and easiest. would it be sorc, necro, bowazon, or barb.

Safe and easy are kind of mutually exclusive. Safe builds kill slowly, easy builds have a higher risk of death. Hammerdins are probably the easiest to take to a high level and have some success in hell with dual-tree sorc at #2 IMHO.

Once you are over level 80, there is really no choice for levelling other than repeated Chaos Sanctuary runs.

I would have to disagree here, with pala or baba you can level quiet happily to level 84-85 even by doing hell council mf/gold runs. In fact last ladder i leveled my baba to lv 87 before succoming to cs runs to get to level 90.

The way to level nowadays is Choas runs. It's not that other areas don't have decent experience, its just that everyone does choas runs so if you want to get experience in an 8 person game you do choas runs too. If you want to solo other areas, you'll need to have a character that can solo those areas fairly easily and quickly.

The safest and easiest build right now is the Hammerdin. The damage they do is with synergies absolutely sick, even naked - which makes it easy to load up on resists/life gear so you survive and still be able to kill. Blessed hammer is also bugged so that no monsters are immune to it, which makes things even easier - a hammerdin can easily solo all of hell (except for the incredibly annoying Maggot Lair). So if you want to go the safe and easy route, build a hammerdin. The runners up would probably be a WW barb with atleast one point in beserk (mace is good choice), a dual tree sorc (fireball/blizzard is a good choice here).

Actually there can be a monster immune to hammerdins (though not sure if any exist in classic). Wendigo's in act 3, or for that matter, any monster that is NOT a demon/undead and magic immune.

Its not bugged, hammers ignore the immunitys on an undead or demon class monsters, which is why hammers still rip through magic immune unravellers...

Anywho. Thought I would say that.

do they still have the 1/2 damage for arrows on amazons? or is it still full damage in classic.

Hell chaos runs are the fastest way of lvling- however i only go there when it is otherwise 2 painful to level anywhere else. Hell mephisto- hell trav- hell river of flame- all good places to lvl.

When i last looked- killing hell meph in an 8player game on my lvl 83 hammerdin ... my exp bar moved _ Not that bad imo.

But today solo raiding 8 person games on my friends 85 hammerdin i would get up to 10million XP, and it took me about 3.5 hours to do 85-86 solo raiding CS :)

OH! how could i forget the beloved flayer jungle.

Easy lvling up to 81. Lvl 83 is the most you would viably get at flayer, though.

The main advantage of the flayer tho, is that its so easy! Using a perf bsnap, my budgetbarb could kill an entire mob of flayers in 1 ww, 8player game. I got to lvl 82 easily. About 5 mins a run. And stormtree gives great exp, at the end of the run.
