weapon for my merc [Archive] - Diablo 3 & Diablo 2 Forums

well im lvl 79 and in hell now my merc has decient armor i think its like 600 defence and his weapon is 20-64 damage with 1-80 lighting damage (close to that) anyways i would really like to get him somthing with crushing blow i have read a lot about it. im also really poor i don't have anything to trade so i would have to find it. where is the best place to look or whats the best way to get him a decient weapon.

The best way to get decent stuff is to collect pgems and use them for trading. Worked last season, worked the season before last season, so I would be surprised if pgems don't work as currency on this season.

Insight polearm, make it in a cheap weapon if you cannot afford a etheral CV. Not a lot of damage in itself (compared to the expensive options), but has critical strike. It also give you infinite mana. :lol:

I've been thinking about it, and yeah, Insight is hard to beat. Esp. if you're going to use a lot of CE. I put one on my merc as soon as he could equip it. Nothing crazy, just a normal 4 socket Thresher. The runes are so common, you can afford to put it in whatever you find, and make another when you find a better base item.

If you want crushing blow, which isn't a bad idea, then give your merc an Obedience. It's a bit more expensive than Insight, but certainly not unreachable. IIRC, it has 40% CB, and it also gives your merc much needed resists.
