View Full Version : exceptionaling a unique weapon
I'm not sure if "exceptionaling" is a word :) but I noticed the cube recipe for expectionaling a regular unique on this site and thought i'd try it... I used it with bonesnap.
None of the modifiers changed except weapon damage. I was wondering if this is always the case with this recipe... Is weapon damage/ armor rating the only modifier that gets upgraded using this cube recipe?

When you upgrade something, you only change the base item. So when you upgraded your Bonesnap (maul), the base item is now changed to War Club, the exceptional version of the maul. Upgrading does not change your item into the exceptional unique (ie. upgrading does not change your Bonesnap Maul into a Bloodtree Stump War Club.)

And if it did, there would be an even bigger market for an Oculus and a gigantic one for Corpsemourns.
okay thanks for the replies... for some reason i was expecting my bonesnap to change into a steeldriver or something... :) i'm still happy with some extra damage.

There is also a change in the required lvl, and it is unpleasent if you upped something too early.
