Ladder/Non-ladder and Skellies

Hey all,

I've been a barbarian or sorc since 1.08. I've done every combination of them and I'm getting a little bit sore with them. So I think I'll try a skellimancer with all the good feedback I've heard about the ability to help others with it, which is basically my end goal. But I have two questions:

1) Is it better to be ladder or non-ladder, it doesnt matter because I have no good gear or items on the new patch.

2) Skelliemancer seems versatile, but is he good at Hell mode even without godly gear Ie(stuff you just find from the game itself)

Ladder, since you can make more of those runewords (both low and high ones). You can also find ladder only uniques.

I have heard stories of summonner being able to solo the game naked.

You could go NL but why would you want to pass up the ladder only goodies?

Skelliemancers are still good with poor gear or even none at all, my old one used just low end mf gear and went thru hell with little trouble.

Ok, but in ladder there might be more runewords and stuff but isn't it more rare and hard for new players to come by. I'm not rich so it seems like the cheaper gear is on NL.. basically whats the main difference between NL and L not in terms of ranking and all I understand that, I mean like whats the difference in gear, player friendliness, and levelup speed. Thanks.

Id say go NL, all the stuff is cheap and can get for Pgems.


Also skelly's have great survivability and breeze through hell (with great gear) or go slowly in hell with poorer gear.
