i have a lvl 89 fury druid that is currently using a double shaeled IK maul. I'm planning on getting him godly gear, but i'm not sure what is better (going for max damage) a 2h eBOTD weapon or a 1h with a pheonix shield 4 the extra ED, along with the Fortitude armor. also for each which is best? is a eBOTDz best 1hand or grief (not sure if the added damage gets hit by the ED?). i have a decent rune collection so i should be able to make any of these, but which should i make? last ladder i made an Ebotd Ogre maul that was really good, but i'm not sure if there is a better option.

If you really want a godly weapon it doesn't get better then an ethereal 3 socket tomb reaver. Go shael shael zod for a 6 / 4 fury. Or 40 / 15 x 2 zod for a 7 / 4 fury.
If you can't get that, then your ogre maul will be ok, but not as good as an EBOTD great poleaxe.
1 handed damage will never compare to 2 handed, even with pheonix.
Grief is way overrated IMO, people just don't pay attention to something called AVERAGE DAMAGE. They think they will be doing the 400+ max every hit, which they will not. In reality, you will be doing better with an EBOTD zerker then with something like a grief phase blade. The only advantage grief has is the 20% deadly strike, and even that doesn't compare.
Perfect EBOTD beserker axe = 355 AVERAGE damage
Perfect Greif phase blade = 233 AVERAGE damage + 20% ( DS ) = 279
They are both a 9 / 5 fury. So you can clearly see the EBOTD zerker is superior.
That is assuming you are considering a 1 hander, which you should not if you want the best damage possible.

grief adds to min AND to max
but for pvm a big 2 handed ebotd or a tombreaver is probaly the best
and reload ur tar, it rocks :)
