I have a low level duelling shockbear (uses shockwave+ravens to put opponents into hit recovery, then lets grizzly kill them.)

His grizzly seems to have a lot of trouble hitting barbs with a good lvl shout though.

I currently have 1 pt in grizzly (duh), 10 hard points in Spirit wolves, and lvl 20 HoW (with skills) can anyone explain how to determine what kind of AR this would give my grizzly?

Please and thanks. :)

depends on your +skill/+summons. a lvl one grizzly w/10 spiritwolves and 20 HoW would have +275% AR from spirit wolves plus the 153% from HoW for a total of +428% AR. the level of the bear doesnt improve its AR, only its damage. wuts the main purpose of the bear?

Yup, I know the %AR increases it gets... what I'm trying to figure out is its ACTUAL AR (and, in turn, it's chance to hit.)

When cast the Grizzly is lvl8, spirit wolves lvl18, and HoW lvl20.

The bear is the main damage dealer for my character. The guy himself casts shockwave with a lot of FCR and lets this plus ravens put his oppoenents into hit recovery. With them thus immobilized the grizzly beats up on and (hopefully) kills them.

at high enough levels, a grizzly coupled with HoW can dish out 9k+ damage. which makes it my favorite spell in the game. then again i like smite too. too bad they took out the bears smite. ><

Try out this link http://diablo2.ingame.de/spiel/skills/calc/index.php?char=dru&lang=en

I don't know if the info there is correct or not, but its the only thing I can point you to. The site seems to be pretty accurate on everything else so...

Thanks for that link. I've used their ias calculator for ages, but didn't know about that section of the site. It seems to give the correct values for damage, so I assume it's right (or at least close) for AR.

It tells me my grizzly has 2970AR plus the bonus it gets from HoW. I assume the HoW bonus is mulplicative with the Spirit Wolves bonus, so that would give him 7662AR. (If I'm right about it being multiplicative, this is good news... The grizzle should be hitting even high def characters pretty often.)

One more question... For chance to hit calculations what clvl should I use for the grizzly? My clvl? The level of the skill? The level of the skill +30?

Thanks once more :)

Yes its your level. If your level 30, they're considered level 30 for to-hit calculations.

well i have a wolf barb and with shout i have abour 23k def...with only 3k ar...it will be darn hard to hit my wolfbarb..and mine is not the nicest out ther ive heard of pallys with 30-50k def (can't veridy that)...but with 15k ar i whiff quite a bit on high def guys too...not much you can do if 3kar is the max you can pump out of your bear...
