What are the game commands to set the game to several players when you are playing on a Mac?

In game commands do not depend on the operating system.

And regardless of OS, the command is:

Enter [to call up message screen]
/players# [or /players #]
Enter
Where # is a number 1 (default) through 8 (max).
You'll see a confirmation in the upper left if you do it correctly. It only works when playing single player.
