My intent is to build a hybrid between a Trang Poisoner and a pure Skellymancer. I'm stumped as to where to begin, due to damage questions. So here are my concerns:

For a Summoner devotee (20 to RS/SM, all the pre-req Revive and SR skills, only Lower Resist and its pre-reqs, plus 20 in Poison Nova, 20ish in Poison synergies, approximately how much poison damage would my Nova do, assuming say, +10 to skills, and Trang's Claws/Wing? With Bramble?

That would be 2228 - 2334 Poison damage without gear, 3481 - 3646 Poison damage against a target without Poison Resist with Three Part Trang and 4873 - 5105 Poison damage against a target without Poison Resist with a Perf Bramble.

With 10 +skills, and only 20 points in RS/1 in SM, how many hitpoints will Hell skeletons have?

I believe there's a great Poison/Summon guide here. Anyway, my poison/summon necro from last lad is as follows:

Helm: Trang socketed with 5/5 poison
Ammy: Mara
Armour: Trang socketed with 5/5 poison
Boots: +2 Marrowwalk
Gloves: Trang
Belt: Trang
Rings: 2x SOJ
Shield: Trang socketed with 5/5 poison
Weapon: 2/2/43 Death Web socketed with 5/5 poison
Charms: 7x Necro Summon GC + 1x Gheeds and couple of 7mfsc + Anni

Skills:
Poison Nova: Max
Poison Dagger: Max
Poison Explosion: Max
Corpse Explosion: 1 pt
Raise Skele: Max
Decrep: 1 pt (including its pre-req)
Bone Armour: 1 pt
Summon Tree: 1 pt each for Golem Tree and related summon synergies (e.g. Summon Resist, Revive), after which, place the remaining pts in Summon Skele

Attributes:
Str: Enough to wear equipment
Dex: Base
Vitality: Dump all remaining pts here
Mana: Base

Poison nova damage: 7k+ from char screen (not counting the -poison resist effect)
Clay Golem: Slow 65%, hp > 10k++,
Skele: Will not die fighting Hell Baal/Meph/Diablo/Andy/Duriel, but will definitely die fighting Ubers. If I remember correctly, their hp is >1k.

To deal with bosses efficiently, I've equipped my Act 2 Might merc with the following for crushing blow:

Helm: eth Andy
Armour: eth Duress
Weapon: eth Obediance

The main feature of this build is nice (but not godly) poison damage (through the use of Death Web, Trang and poison facets) with healthy bunch of skele (through the use of 7 summon GC and zero pnb GC).

Speed Issues:

Anything not immune to poison (except bosses) will die very quickly with 7k poison nova (esp. those in the Pits). Hell cows are dispatched with great ease via the use of corpse explosion. All Acts of Hell can be cleared with relative ease and speed by combination of Poison/Skele/CB Might Merc. Hell Baal can be killed in 30s or less with Might Merc and Decrep+Clay golem. With fast run/walk of Vampire mode Trang, you'd be surprised at the speed you're killing monsters in Hell.

Well, a better build, in my opinion:

20 RS
20 SM
1 Gumby
1 GMastery
1 SR
20 Nova
19 PExp
20 PDagger
1 Teeth
1 CE
1 Amp
1 Decrep
1 Lower Resist
1 Weaken
1 Terror
1 Life Tap
1 Iron Maiden

skeletons are very weak without SM... with that build you can have skeletons that can actually survive and be helpful, and a still very powerful nova.

An even better build in my opinion:
20 RS
15 SM
1 Gumby
1 GMastery
1 SR
1 RSM
1 BG
1 IG
1 Revive
20 Nova
20 PExp
9 PDagger
1 Teeth
1 CE
1 Amp
1 Decrep
1 Lower Resist
1 Weaken
1 Terror
1 Life Tap
1 Iron Maiden
So almost similar, but added mages and revives, which can be annoying, but defenitely help dmg wise, also completed build by lvl 87, so lvling further increases poison dmg or skello dmg.

When you have an outrageous amount of - poison resist gear, does that amount stack with your Lower Resist?

For example, let's go crazy:

You have a -45% poison resist Death's Web, with a 5/5 facet, - 25% poison from your Trang gear, with another 5/5 facet in your Trang's Wing. That's a whopping -80%! Added to Lower Resist, that would be about -150%! The lowest you can achieve!

However, can your - poison resist add in Lower Resist breaking poison immunes? Or when dealing with immunes, is it soley up to your Lower Resist?

The Skellies will have 1885 hitpoints.

Yes it does, which is very handy against monsters with a lot of resists.

However, can your - poison resist add in Lower Resist breaking poison immunes? Or when dealing with immunes, is it soley up to your Lower Resist?

Only LR and Conviction can be used to break an immunity. Since Conviction doesn't lower Poison Resistance the only way to deal with Poison Immunity is by using LR. After the immunity has been broken the rest of the -% Enemy resist gear will be applied to the left over resistances.

Hmmm. So let's say that there's a monster that has 110% immunity to poison. (110% is as high as they can go, right?)

You have a -60% Lower Resist, and -80% poison resist gear.

Your Lower Resist, since it only operates at 1/5 when breaking an immunity (making it -12%), breaks the immunity and takes it down to 98% poison resist. Then, your -80% poison resist gear kicks in, and takes it down to 18%?

That would be correct.
