A side note: The animal summon synergies work with +skills. At least they worked in 1.10.

So what do you guys think is better for a Windy? and for a Werebear with HoW?

After your main skills are done with I think most people prefer a point in grizzly with leftover points into dire to increase grizzly life, so you have a decent meat shield you can reposition at will.

I've never really had a problem with Grizzly dying - 1 pt in all summons, including Oak, has been plenty to keep it alive against all but the most insane boss packs, for which it still lasts long enough for me to spam a few Shockwaves and recast it.
Points in Grizzly is nice for dam but it needs to be really obscene levels before the damage becomes noticable, so not really worth it I think.
The vines are an interesting place to put leftover points.
