im so newbie its not funny. what im i doing i want to know how to get on line? do i use something like steam or what. a little help would be nice :eek:

If you mean how to get onto battle.net, then all you need to do is run Diablo II and click the "battle.net" button. This'll connect you to the gateway that you have selected. From there, create an account (it's free) and then your pretty much ready to go.

If your using a router, or have a firewall, then you might need to open some ports, but we're getting abit ahead of ourselves here. First try to connect through the game.

Anyways, what do you mean? :/ Are you trying to connect to the game and it's not working? Or are you trying to connect to the internet (how did you post this)? I'm sort of confused here at what you're asking.
