Now that my summon skills are all done, Ive been using CE. Its really effective but when using it my mana pool empties within seconds. Currently my max mana is about 200. Any tips on what to do? Should I work towards getting an insight to help my CE? Thanks in advance for the help.

You should not "work" towards an insight, and simply just get one on a exceptional polearm. See how you like it, and if you really want it, then make one in an eth elite polearm.

Another thing that might help is +mana per kill items.

I never used CE until I had the mana to support it.

As a TO user, this was never a real problem (TO, AoKL and mana rings --- especially those blue +mana/mf rings are ideal for this gear setup. Only SOJs or BKs can beat them, but...). Never had to resort to Insight on a Skelemancer.

Just try to get some +mana in your gear. If you are going to max CE, find a compromise until you have your final gear --- increasing the level increases the damage, thus requiring fewer casts, but it also increases the mana usage...

EDIT: with teenage Skelemancers I would often change my potion setup from my usual red/blue/purple/purple (color of the 4 columns) to red/blue/blue/purple. Mana potions are much easier to come by, and you don't need super.

Although it isn't needed, having Insight on your merc basically makes the game a breeze. I torched ActV Hell with it. Its also a huge plus that your merc doesn't really even need to do damage, he's just there for his auras.

Use a frostburn.

That's why I made an insighe voulge (not CV), threasher, and eth CV. I can swap to different ones depending on my level. Furthermore, mana problems generally occurs more in low lvl, and an insight at lvl 27 is VERY handy, for all characters.

I was given an Insight pole for helping a druid rush. I had no idea at the time this existed because I never played ladder. Man, I could not believe the difference! Its like super steroids for your necro. Even tho the pole is very low damage, on a lvl 89 merc with crush blow equip it works fine. Spam CE, revives, amp damage, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING and never run low on mana. In my opinion, the BEST supplemental aura for a necro, bar none.

Ive since made a ladder necro with the sole purpose of making Insight poles which will eventually shunt over to normal realms. So far at lvl 50, he's made 1, with runes for a second- the hard part finding 4 socket poles, the runes are easy.

If you wear full Trang set, your mana will be boosted substantially. If you're rich, get 2x SOJs. Your mana will hit close to 900 and you won't have any problem spamming CE even without Insight.

Don't forget +mana charms. Those things can really add up.

get a skullcollerctor (unique rune staff)
+20 mana per kill
it also includes +2 to skills and MF...and it makes you look good

I wish kills to mana was on more items, does that staff not sound like a great necro wand?

Frostburn, 'Bone' runeword, Rings with 70+ mana, charms, homunculus..

I currently have nearly 700 mana, not spending a single point in energy

insight polearm does the trick, particularly with a frostburn equiped.
