Maul Or Fire Claws

I'm so confused as to what is better.....Maul or Fire Claws? Like I said in an earlier thread, I'm gonna max WB, Lycan, and HOW, but what about for a main attack? Like I would love to have both but I don't think I could cause I'd like to have a tank in a bear. Also does putting points into Str and Dex add into your dmg like a Barb and Javazon?

Well if you go HoW don't go fireclaws.. since it wont enhance the damage

I prefer Maul myself, as it can work pretty well with a smaller investment and benefits from HoW, giving you more free points which you could invest in summons or something(a maxed Grizzly and a maxed WB is a cool sight and delivers a lot of physical damage :D).

Ideally you'd have a Might Merc with Reaper's Toll to help enhance your physical damage quite a bit.

Fire Claw is much better PvP choice then Maulers. PvM, Maul > FC.
