View Full Version : i solo uber trist with javazon
yesterday i made infinity.
i traded 3 ist for 1 ber, and 23mara for the other ber.
traded shako 4 mal, and i had ist from forge.
My Lightning zon has :
Griffon's Eye (with 5/5 lightning facet) - helm
Smoke (gives 50to All resist) - Armor
Eth titan - javelin
Storm shield w/ PDiamond - Shield
Drac vampire glove
gore rider - shoe
T-gods - belt
raven frost, dwarf star ring
26 resist mara
2 x javelin GC, 2 x passive GC.
20/20 (perfect) Zon torch
My merc has:
vamp gaze - helm (16% reduce damage)
leviathan - armor (23% reduce damage w/ 1684 def.)
Infinity - superior eth. CV ( -49 lightning resist, lev12 conviction aura)
My skills :
Max charged strike
Max power strike
Max lightning fury
10 lightning strike
1 on each passive (defensive ones only)
1 on valk.
1 on decoy.
I can kill all the hell bosses with less than 5 hits with charged strike
it only takes like 10 seconds to kill each one.
With Infinity and Griffon eye. basically that makes me like Uber Mephisto.
i did uber trist in less than 3 min.
P.S. i couldn't pick up torch cuz i already had one LOL. but i identified it
it was 12/16 assasin. so i just called one of my friend to come and
keep it for free lol. Only perfect torch will worth something, since it's
so easy to do uber bosses now. my friend has smiter and he does
uber trist in 5 min too.

Unrelated question: Why did you max power strike and not lightning strike?
And good job at soloing uber trist with a javazon. :)

Something i am not understanding here
Uber Meph has 110% light res
Level 12 conviction has -85% monster resistances, to attempt to break an immunity that will change to 1/10 at -8.5% monster resistance which will not put meph below 100% light res so how did you kill him?
I assume your merc wouldn't be able to stand in a pack of summons for more than 10-20 seconds and the physical damage of a lightning javazon is often pathetic
so...
?
edit - If the attempt to break an immunity is 1/5 penalty instead of 1/10 disregard my question, otherwise i am puzzled how you manage to hurt him with lightning attacks

Maybe griffons is breaking the resist? I don't know, but it doesn't really matter if a javazon did it. Any class can do it with the right gear. BF assassins, WW barbs, etc.

# This aura, when breaking an immunity, will only function at 1/5 effectiveness.
That's why. It's 1/5 effectiveness, not 1/10, so infinity is enough to break it (and then griffons/facets drop it even more).

Uber Tristram ain't uber diablo who doesn't have two insane bosses near him and summons spawning out of every orifice
whirlwind barbs get ruined in uber tristram

Hmmm, I read some posts in other amazon forum saying infinity cannot break Meph's immunity. What makes difference...

BF assassins
OT - Heh heh actually; my bladefury assn was the only reason we could kill Uber Izual and Uber Duriel.

I thought infinity could not break Meph's immunity because infinity only gives a lvl 12 conviction. Meph definitly has a higher level conciction. The higher lvl conviction will overrule the lower...So Meph will still be immune to lightning...at least that was what I thought. This thread may proof it wrong ...

With characters, a higher level conviction does cancel out a lower one - and I don't see why it shouldn't work like this with monsters as well.

Wrong. Auras only cancel each other when they're applied to the same target. It has to be two characters on the same side with the same aura, not just two in the same area. It's just like a fanat aura boss won't steal the aura from a paladin.

Wrong.
I know from experience that if FohPaladin#1 is PvPing against MyFohPaladin#2, and FohPaladin#1 has a conviction aura of 15, while mine is 13, my resistances go down while his do not.

Then that's a bug, it's not supposed to work like that. What you're saying makes absolutely no sense, I can't think of any reason why it would do that.
