Best bvb soc wep

Basically there are 6 choices:
Skull-leach
Ruby-8-20 fire
Topaz-1-40 light
Emerald-100 pois over 7 sec
Saph-Freeze 4-14
Amethyst-150ar
Many players on ladder right now suggest ruby for stun, if your wep doesn't already have fire ele. Skulls don't do much in pvp, more of a pvm soc eg. Gf martel. Emeralds do 100 damage but it can't stack up, so even if your ww hits the opponent 4 times, 100 over 7 sec remains constant ( Plr also reduces the dmg considerably). Cold dmg is easy to get on a belt, for soj instead of soc, you can easily get a 20 str cold dmg 4x life belt. Many nl players argue that amethysts are definetly the best soc. But what can 12k ar do that 11k can't? From your experiences and testing what have you found to be the best soc on a bvb weapon?

i have been doing bvb for a very long time. The socket depends on your dueling style, ruby for stun is an ok idea.. if you do a lot of short ww's trying to catch your opponent in stun lock. This skill is very hard to do now because 1.10 screwed up ww. If you usually just do long straightforward "manner" ww's, stun is not going to help you, in which case i would suggest eme > ame as most barbs you will be dueling will be going with the twitch/sback/gobs setup, which is low defence.

IMO the best would be a level 90+barb using angelics for AR... and a weapon that has base cold dmg, then is ruby socketed. Ruby for stun is nice, but the fire dmg is quite nice also. Some prefer ame, but I think ruby is better... I'll test this soon, with NL duped weps so socketing is cheap and the same wep can be used.
Ame socket would be better for most barbs, lower level (by low i mean <85) and for those pain in the *** defence barbs (like me) who you just can't hit because of their 14k def :)
