View Full Version : Ladder/Nonladder bug?
I recently created a mule to perm on NL when someone comes looking to trade. So I get on another account and try to join the same game. I made sure that I was on the right realm and that I was on NL, but I couldn't join the game, even though my char was nonladder. This has happened to me a few times. Can anyone help?
What made you mention "Ladder" in your title, when it sounds like it might just be a non-ladder thing? :)
What error do you get when you try to join? Is it "Failed to join game" or is it an error along the lines of "unable to join game because..."?
The message was along the lines of "A ladder character cannot join a game created by a nonladder character" but all my characters are nonladder.

I had this same problem once, and I was just as perplexed as you seem to be. I dont quite remember how I fixed it, or what I did after i got the problem, but I think I logged in using my ladder account, joined a game quickly, then left and logged back in with my regular nonladder account and it was all good.
Since I don't have a ladder character, should I create a new one?

just happened to me, but i realized i had a nl mule mixed in on a ladder account
Arg now it seems all my characters cant join some games even thought they are nonladder. It still says "A ladder character cannot join a game created by a nonladder one."

It has to do with some "security" thing on Bnet. It makes it so you can't join a game sometimes if you already joined that game. It seems to be random, because I get the bug every few days when I can't join a game that I was just in on another account. I think it might have to do with Bnet not wanting people going in games with a char that can make cows, then leave and come back with a low lvl char that can't open the cow portal to do the cow run.
I may be wrong, but I pretty sure it just random Bnetness ;)
