My name is Tod. My brother gave me diablo because he has went to Starcraft, and I decided to play hardcore. I dont have much experiance with the game as i've only played single player. My highest character is a level 38 amazon on single player but she's having a tough time making it through act5.

I am now going to play online and so far I have a level 30 summon necromancer.He is boring me now so I am thinking of making a chanter. Anyways the people in op xbananax told me to register to Diabloii.net and I did. I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I've already met a couple of people so far. Im gonna go start my chanter now bye everyone. Oh yes my account On diablo II Lord of Destruction is Shift[hc] on USEast. Good bye :)

Im not sure on this but i think it is. Also my brother was telling me a way I could use the chanter im making to chant one of my charcters so i can level. He said it's called diablo ii loader or something like that. Could osmeone tell me where i could get this and if it's "legal" in blizzard's eyes?

First of all, welcome to the boards! You'll find this is a place for fun to be had. :)

About Loader.. technically it's not legit, as you're using a third party program that's giving you an unfair advantage a.k.a. making your level one do 1600 damage, but I've used it in the past and I know many people to consider it legit. Blizzard might be able to detect it, so I'd be careful. While I see it as harmless, it still violates the agreement.

thank you very much for your help luckydwarf. My chanter died to a chanter sorc -.-.

So I started leveling my necro and this morning I started baaling. I got to 40 and this very very nice level 93 sorc offered me a free nm rush. She was the sorc that had been baaling our group. She had a chanter in her game she was baaling I think she was using d2loader o well anyways I got a free nm rush from her and then i started baaling some more. Im level 47 and i can't seem to find any good baal games now =\
As soon as I can im going to start mfing for shako,wizspike and variouse other items so i can build my orb/tk sorc that my brother told me I should make. I have a question though will someone post a orb/tk build in this thread with stats and skills and gear please if it's not to much trouble. Thanks in advance

Hey Tod! Welcome to the boards.

As for the build...

Skills:

Orb-20
Cold Mastery-20
Telekinesis-20
Teleport-20
Rest into Orb synergy or a shield of choice.

Stats(I'll be very vague about this because frankly, I'm lazy.):

Strength: Enough for heaviest piece of equipment. 156 after +strength if you can get your hands on a shield. If not, 86 for upped Viper.

Dex: Enough for max block with shield of choice. SS, Whitstans, and Mosers are all top choices.

Energy: None.

Vita: Everything else.

Equipment( that isn't too hard to find but ideal ):

Shako
SS
Wiz
Waterwalks
Frosties or Trangs(if you need the fcr)
Tals ammy or any +skills, resists, or stat one
Dual Ravenfrosts or a Raven and Dwarf
Tal Belt, Tgods, Arachnids

You're aiming mostly for max resists, max block, 63% FCR, 1200 life and 400 mana, ideally. Put an 'Insight', Tal mask, and 'Stone' or Shaft on your merk. For meph/andy runs, switch out 'Insight' with Kelpies or Reapers.

The 20 in Teleport is debatable and inevitably comes down to personal preference. I like a few points in Static myself. Other people who don't want to use an 'Insight' Polearm on their Merc prefer to put points into Warmth. You could also dump points into Energy Shield to rely more on mana and keep you a little safer. It's really up to you.

Your brother told you to make an Orb/TK Sorc but didn't bother to tell you how to build it...?

Unless you have a huge pool you regen more mana while porting with max port than with max warmth (assuming 20/1 vs 1/20 that is... ideally you know your end game gear and know what level port you need to get 24 after skills ^^). While not porting chances are it's because you're either safer, in which case drinking a blue is just fine, or you're out of mana and can't port, in which case having 1 mana port means you'll be moving quicker than with the max warmth.
