so who ever inveted bh should be shot
how do you aim this thing? serioulsy it goes ina sprial outwards from me so i stand lil bit away from a group hit it and well it circles them not hittin them at all what am i doing wrong?
You're kidding right? notice that it spirals outwards starting from you. This means that something that is right next to you will more likely be hit than something that's farther away. Just tp to whatever you wanna kill and hammer it down. If you can't afford a nigma then you can either walk up right next to what you wanna kill (til you're pretty much kissing it) and throw them hammers out OR make a different char since the pcombs are gonna cost you a LOT more than a nigma you can't afford :).

I believe your best bet is to stand directly to the right side of your target, when you cast the hammer, it comes from 9 o'clock from your body (picture your character as the clock face :lol: )
Hope this helps

is the build i chose
If you have Enigma, just Tele, and then click Hammer. If not, run up to the monster-make sure you're 'under' the monster-'south' of the monster and then click on it and you'll hit.

The hammers come *out* of your body at roughly 10 o'clock, anything between 10 and 2 usually gets hit, if you're directly underneath your target. There's a blind spot on the underside of your paladin though, where if the enemies are close enough, the hammer's outwards curve carries it away from them.
Also, move around! Don't stand still :l
Use charge, or walk/run, and do short bursts if they're not hitting. Ensures that a larger area is covered in hammer-circles, and subsequently, more will hit.

Cast alot, you dont have to have one out at a time.

I usually just go just a bit south of a mob of monsters and spam a hammer field. The monsters start walking towards me and most of them die. For the stragglers, I just walk a few steps, release a few hammers, walk a bit more, release a few more hammers, until everything is dead. For that last monster that refuses to be hit, just go south of it and hammer.
All you have to do is learn the path which blessed hammers spin through. Note that they always take the same orientation no matter what direction your character is facing when he casts them.
X = Your Hammerdin
1, 2, 3, etc = The path hammers move to (ie a hammer comes out at 1, moves to 2, then to 3, etc)
12 13
11 14
10 2 3 15
9 1X 4 16
8 5 17
7 6
I suggest learning to hit this with the 2 and 3 positions first. Once you get the knack of running right below your enemies and killing them from that spot learn a different one. Start standing about 2 character spaces to the left of them and start hitting them with the number 4 spot. Once you get that downpat learn how far above them you have to stand to hit with the number 6 spot, and so forth.

Cast Hammer once, sidestep about 2 cm's off your screen, cast second Hammer, side step, cast third Hammer, etc. Always hits sooner or later, and if your Hammer is anywhere near where it should be in PvP standards, weaker monsters should die in 1 hit.

@rane-: permission to put this into my guide?
Learn to walk around as mentioned by Rane and use the Shift button when necessary. On top of that, get some cheap stuffs to increase your FCR to 125 so that you can start spamming hammers.
Recommended items for cheap hammerdins:
1) Vipermagi => 30
2) Wizspike => 50
3) Magefist => 20
4) Spirit shield => 25-35
FCR => 125-135.
Get a merc to hold Insight for you (give him Duriel armour and Crown of Thieves) so that you can have unlimited supply of mana to spam hammers. :D
