Someone said the cap for conviction is -150 to resis. Is this true? and i was also wondering if the -defense is capped also.

one more question

Should I use a grief for my charge/auradin or a crescent moon? both seem to do decent dmg

Yes the - resist is capped at -150 which is skill level 25. The - defence however isn't capped.

If you aren't planning on meleeing then go for Crescent Moon for the extra -enemy resists. If you are planning on getting up close and personal, go for Grief - MUCH better damage (around 250 more, base!) and better speed as well. Plus the Venom, Deadly Strike . . . the list goes on and on.

I don't know if it's relevant or not, but there is at least one reason to level Conviction above the level 25 -resists cap; in PvP, if a hostile Paladin has a higher level Conviction than yours, he will override it. At least that's what I was told.

you are right

higher lvl of conviction works when lower one is switched off thats why its better to max it out

-def on convi is useless so dont even bother it

it takes ONLY % of def from base defence of your opponent

btw

i would go for HOJ made in PB instead of any other weapon
HOJ + dragon armor + dream helm + dream/dragon shield

thats what pure auradin is. also you can combine with holy freez but than you do less dmg than maxing out holy fire

For pure auradin "Doom" is significantly better than "Hand of justice". Both are very expensive (ohm,Lo, Cham VS Sur, Lo, Cham), but Holy freeze outweights any competitives - with 12 Lvl Holy Freeze When equiped you have 50%slowed enemies in a good range around. 16 Lvl Holy fire even stacked with the Holy fire from Dragon armor is really neglegible. The only minus on Doom is the "5% Chance To Cast Level 18 Volcano On Striking".

well in my opinion holy freez is only better vs smiters or zealots but even if they are slowed they do enough dmg to slain you in 2-3 hits :/
btw
if you want to use doom you cant really do some serious dmg due to 3 synergies (light res fire res and cold res) need to be maxed out - not enough skill points
also your zeal speed will be poor as hell

A paladin using 'Doom' requires close contact with the enemy (within one screen) to freeze them. A non Holy Freeze auradin may charge around just outside of the enemy's screen range and still zap them.
