dream as synergy in 1.1 patch [Archive] - Diablo 3 & Diablo 2 Forums

Hey all,

I just found enough runes to make dream helm and shield. I was planning to make the following pali.

FoH - max
Conviction - enough so that with +skills it'll be at level 25
Holy Bolts - max
Holy Shield - max
Resist Lightning - max
and of course ... all the prerequisits

Weapon wise, I plan to use a 6 sockted phase blade with 4 eths and 2 shaels. and use Zeal during the one second delay between FoH.

My question ... before I make the 2 dreams... is, will I get the +28 holy shock from the 2 dreams as synergy for my FoH now in 1.1 ? Has anyone made a Dreamdin since ladder resets? Any comments and further tips for this type of build would be greatly appreciated.

eh i've tried to make a dreamer like urs but it seems it's pretty damn hard without the proper gear. ur foh dmg is small and doesn't seem to do as much as u would hope. instead i made a charge auradin. i dual use dream and a grief and have no trouble taking down almost any char.

only chars i ahve trouble with are

summoning bonermancers
ele drudis
hammerdins
blizz sorcs
and the occasional javazon

but who konws maybe ur build will be better than mine. and i dont believe the synergies work like that. because u get the aura from the item they dont count as synergies. it does work the opposite way like you getting synergies from resist light for ur holy shock.

dreamadin is easy to stop due to light resist
charge auradin is much better setup but you will be having trouble with 3 chars :
high lvl energy shield sorc - ele dmg absorb (also they drink mana pots)
cyclone duids - ele dmg absorb
charge paladins - low def (cant zeal them - they smite you to death first)

sorc and druids will die after 2 single zeals even if your charge misses (but keep in mind that your AR will be low as well)

if you want to stay to dreamadin keep in mind that if your opponent will stack some light resists your zeal will not do any damage :(

also pure auradin has great resists even in hell game due to passive resists pumped up from light resists aura and fire resists aura

its always better to make 1 better char than 5 weaker ones

yep auras stack or at least stacked when i quit (1 month ago :) )

u cant make any ladder-only runewords in Non-ladder, so unless u are on ladder, skip this build.

charge dreamers work pretty well, but there isnt much point in doing foh+dream because foh is going to suck vs stack res as will holy shock... ur limiting yourself to almost 100% light dmg which isnt a great idea
