Goldfinder Barb ??

I keep seeing all these poeple saying they are building goldfinding charcters?

As i have never tried this char myself and after having a little joy gambling recently Im begining to see the benefit of constant gambling, I have a few questions which I would be very grateful of any help with.

Is a barb the best character for gold find ? Im assuming this has somthing to do with Baba equipment?

What items are the main requirements for gold find ( Im not being stupid here I know charms with GF% will help but are there sought after items just for this?

Sorry if there is a guide already posted on this I have looked but to no avail.

How about double wielding Ali babas.... with dual LEMs in them....

your main target will be the travincal council as they have the tendencie to drop nice piles of gold and lots of items, which is interesting too because you will also have some decent mf. ... and when you are already at it, you can hork their corpses too for a second drop.

Thats nm high council btw, hell is much harder and doesnt drop that much more gold.

I think the main reason for using a barb is find item, after the council is dead you can switch to 2x LemLem ali-babas and hork a big heap of gold.

Instead of 2*Ali-Baba you could use 2*Crystal Swords with 6*Lem runes in them :)

any char can make for a very fun and good goldfinder but the barb is two major things over all the others. first they can hold 2 weapons (2 6lem weapons for 900%gf) vs a weapon/shield for all other chars ( 6lem + 4 lem shield) the barb also has the FI skill that gives the barb a 2nd chance for a 2nd full drop from the monsters. since you can use the FI skill on the high council members you can often get 5 or more of them to do a 2nd full drop. using max FI skill is where i get most of my gold. even when the first kill is done with my might merc using all his goldfind items.

also to get the max goldfind in LOD you need to use a barb + act3 merc (3990%) but since they dont have much killing power using a might merc often works best.

doing goldfind runs in hell vs nm can often get you 50% more gold then in nm. it takes higher end items/charms to run hell but its the best place to get gold. with very good runs going over 1.5mill then you also have higher lev magic/rare items too. running NM works best for lower lev chars or ones that justing out. also if you like to use your merc to kill running nm is very easy since the merc shouldnt have much of a problem killing them or just getting the last hit in. where in hell games it takes a merc with a very good weapon to kill them.

with a very good setup you can get single piles of gold to drop in hell of ~150k

One thing ive been wondering about is that is it good to hork in hell cow level. My friends would do the killing and i would just be horking. I have a feeling it wouldnt be as fast as nm council, cos ive heard ridiculous amounts of gold beeing collected there in 1 minute. But it sure would be funnier. So, is running nm council better than to hork the cow level in a 3 player game?
Or, if i would join a 5+ player cowgame and hork there?

sure cows are a great place to find gold with a barb or any other goldfind char.

mf barb works great
i got 1 4 nl and working on my ladder one
me nl get pile in like 20k's with out babas
but he use find item skill
ive gotten soooo many great items that way.....4 archons, ohm, vex, eth scared......blah blah blah
