View Full Version : Basic Pure Lighnting Javazon
Been reading Jek's guide but just wanted someone to clarify as it doesn't really pin down on a general outline as he has written it depending on your items and play style.
Basic Pure Lightning Build is
MAX CS, LF, LS and get a fairely high Valkyre with points left over. Spread a few points in jab, evade, avoid, dodge depending on your +skill items right to desired %age?
Have i missed a few 1 pointers. Be appreciated if anyone can just outline or correct my layout of a pure lightning Javazon.
Cheers

I didnīt read this guide you refere to but it seems to me logical to give a point in pierce since it would make LF a WAY more powerfull.

I was thinking i was missing quite a few skils as i know absolute zilch about amazon as it one of the classes i never really got into.
So what would recommend the basic layout of SP to be?

OK - I would actually go for several points in pierce since as a lightning build you will prolly use thundergodīs and will have no pierce in your gear.
As I already said I am not aware of all theory behaind s-points disposition in this build. It seems strange to me though that CS is maxed and no a single point in penetrate is mentioned. Imo penetrate should be developed according to your gear/dex, giving you always good chance to hit (donīt let you fool yourself by LCS - your really chance to hit is always less/much less!). + 1- 2 % chance of crit play little role if you canīt hit.
I think that a layout can vary. A strong valky is never wrong....
Well, what I miss in this build is a secondary skill against L immunes. If you are going to use the same set up (weapon/shield) for range and melee combat I would recommend Buri on switch and 1 point in strafe. I think it would be more effective and surely more secure than jab.

Personally I prefer Razortail over Tgods to save a load of skillpoints (otherwise getting a nice % pierce could be anoying)

You don't need AR for the pure lightning amazon, as CS will always land the lightning part and so will LF and Lightning Strike.

Well, jabbing with an eth upgraded titan goes a long way combined with okish IAS, a valk, a merc and smart usage of decoy. Personally, tho, I prefer to have a single point in Frozen Arrow and strafe and as a bow use an ITD one (EAGLEHORN - 6 sapphire bow is another decent choice, to freeze a group of enemies for a longer time with Frozen Arrow - don't bother with strafe then tho).
My standard almost pure lightning zon (tm) skillsetup is:
20 LF
20 CS
20 LS
1 Strafe
10 Passives (1 in each of them)
10 Pre-reqs
Rest: If you want more damage go for synergy, if you want tank go for valk.. Basicly at this point you should butcher every non-LI, freeze LIs that are not CI and blast them with arrows+valk+merc and just blast LICIs.
I personally don't feel that spending more than 1 in each of the passives to be worthwhile (+skills from items all the way), but I suppose a HC build would focus a tad more on survival, tho I can't remember last time I died after getting CS. :-P
Thanks a lot for the great input guys. Much Appreicated.
